Mission | Lone Wolf Wolves with flat coats were generally not well suited to snow. Mission was one of those wolves. She considered herself quite fortunate that she wasn't caught in a blizzard, but the cold still hurt her paw pads. Normally she wouldn't have come to a place like this, but much of the land below from where she had come was claimed by packs. Large ones at that. She wasn't a fool, she wasn't going to hunt in their territory. But now Mission was getting hungry and was forced to hunt up here in the mountains. One thing she disliked about it was how the air was thin. She wasn't used to it. It hardly made sense to her why someone would live here by choice, though she was aware she was poorly built when it came to staying warm. And even with her thin pelt, she would travel through a snowstorm over a desert any day. At long last, Mission spotted movement. She lowered her head and her body to get a look at her target, but her hopes dropped when she saw it. A little brown bird. Too hard to catch, and not much to eat anyway. She was hungry enough to try anyway, so Mission went for the bird. As expected, if flew off and landed on a tree out of her reach. As if she still had a chance, Mission followed the bird to the base of the tree. It flew off again, but its takeoff disturbed the snow on the branch and sent it down onto poor little Mission. She shook most of it out, but some of the fine powdery snow stuck to her fur. "I hate this.""Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Drazonic padded by the snowy and extense territory. The natural rock structures made it hard, yet not impossible, to walk, as they scratched and hurt his cold pawpads.
The typical pine and aspen trees were full of snow and birds, which Drazonic would have scared million times.
"It's so lonely here" The male thought. This place was nothing like his Forest, and that made him feel alone. Even the pines seemed different.
His hunting time had not been very successful the day before, and his stomatch growled.
"If I knew where the goddamn hunting ground is!" Drazonic thought frustrated. "Maybe I can smell something" He thought, trying to be optimist.
So he forced his extremities to stop, lowered his head to the point his nose touched the cold, snowy ground, and inhaled.
His nasal cavities could barely recognize two scents: a bird- and... a wolf? No it couldn't be. Shhh, there's so much din. Can't you hear the crackle of the fire? WORD COUNT: 000TAGS: RevanLEGEND: "Speech" "Thought"Normal

Mission | Lone Wolf Mission wandered away from the tree in defeat, once again trying to shake the last of the snow from her fur. Of course she wasn't going to catch the bird, she wasn't sure why she even tried. Hoping to find a rodent or a rabbit, Mission went back to scanning the horizon. Instead of prey, she found something worse; another wolf. It wasn't that Mission disliked company, she actually preferred it over being alone. But having been traveling along the borders of packs territories and searching for a suitable place to hunt, seeing this stranger worried her. Had she wandered into someone's home? Would he be aggressive? She hadn't noticed the stranger's scent before, so perhaps he was a lone wolf like herself. She hoped so. But now she was faced with a choice: run away and likely starve, or, on the chance that this wolf is friendly, perhaps he could direct her toward food. She eventually decided on the latter, but took a more readied stance. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

The male froze as he spotted the other wolf, then realized that the female didn't mean any harm to him.
His tail was low and his ears were straight, wanting to make her know he didn't really mean any harm to her either.
"Hey" Draz said, his voice was smooth and calmed "Are you lost?" He asked, since she looked pretty scared too.
"Don't worry, I don't mean any harm" He said also smoothly.
His green eyes analyzed her. It had been a pretty long time he had last seen a wolf in these areas.
He shook his paws to get the snow off of them, since they were hurting pretty much and freezing badly.
"Pretty cold huh?"

Mission | Lone Wolf Right away Mission noticed the body language of the other wolf. He didn't look aggressive at all, and that calmed her nerves. She relaxed her stance, unaware of how tense she had looked. Then the wolf spoke, and she was taken slightly aback by how calm his voice was. "I'm a little bit lost," she admitted. No sense in hiding anything, she just wanted food. His next words further reassured Mission, and she breathed a silent sigh of relief. He seemed alright. It was enough for her to take her eyes off of him and glance at the snowy landscape when he mentioned the cold. "Yeah.. a little too cold for me," she answered. More like a lot. Drazonic nod as she spoke "Well don't worry" He said, getting closer to her "Everything will be just fine. My name is Drazonic, but you can call me Draz if you like... I was about to hunt when I spotted you. Are you are hungry? We can go hunting if you want to" He said, mostly giving the idea because he was hungry.
The snow started falling on his thick, long pale gray fur, so he stepped back and shook it. "So what's your name?" He asked as his eyes sparkled, giving a hint of curiosity.
He didn't use to be nosy, but he was really curious indeed. "It wouldn't seem really strange if my paws just froze" He thought, as he shook them again. He had been raised on the safeness of the forest, so he didn't really know what true cold was. But he know something. He really didn't like it. Mission | Lone Wolf Mission took note of the way Drazonic spoke. It was clear he was trying to calm her. That wasn't a surprise, Mission knew she had a way of looking frightened in just about every situation. Mostly around strangers though. "I am hungry, actually," she said carefully, watching Draz step closer. "I'd love to go hunting with you. Are you sure you're alright with me tagging along?" She felt the need to ask, though if he went through the trouble of inviting her, she highly doubted that he'd turn her down now. "My name is Mission," she answered with a slight dip of her head. "It's nice to meet you, Draz." At this point, she looked a lot more relaxed. The cold still bit at her nose and paws, but at the very least she was almost certain that she wasn't in any immediate danger. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

The male grinned "Nice name. It's nice to meet you too".
Drazonic was glad to have company. He used to do all by himself, though he prefered teamwork. Besides, they could hunt something bigger, and have food for some days.
"Yes! I even like teamwork the best" The male said "Sooo... I'm not really sure where the hunting ground is. But let's try and see. Do you have any idea?" He really didn't count on it, since Mission had said she was a little bit lost. But maybe she had hunted there before. It never hurted asking.
He inhalated the air for any scents to come to him, though he doubted that any smart prey would be padding around.
But maybe today was their lucky day, he never knew, so he kept trying. "At least we could fish if we really had to" he thought, though he preffered other kind of prey.
But after all, beggars can't be choosers, right?

Mission | Lone Wolf "Thank you," she replied quietly to the compliment on her name. He was likely just being friendly, but this wolf didn't seem so bad. On top of that, her hunger was winning over her caution. But though she had been a loner for some time, Mission was well aware that hunting in groups was far more efficient. It had been quite some time since she'd eaten anything harder to catch than a rabbit. Mission shook her head. "I've actually.. never been here before. But hopefully if we start looking around, we'll find it soon." She saw Drazonic begin to search for nearby scents, and she did the same. If only they could catch the scent of an elk or a deer, it'd be enough to make the cold weather worth it. While they stood there, her stomach growled. At this point, she was ready to throw caution to the wind. It was a rare thing for Mission, and it usually did not bode well. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Drazonic walked slowly, always with his head down to the floor and his nose pointing the snow. He couldn't really smell anything beyond Mission.
The male analyzed the environment, but he couldn't really find anything.
His stomatch growled again, but he dismissed it and kept smelling. The landscape in front of him was always the same: Aspen and Pine trees, rock structures, and a lot of shiny and wet snow.
Drazonic finally smelled something out of normal, but he wasn't sure what was it. He leaned towards elk, but he didn't really know.
"Maybe... look I think this could be the odor of elk... but I'm not quite sure" He said to Mission, hopeful she would know anything about it. "What do you think?"

Mission | Lone Wolf Mission took a deep breath before releasing a heavy sigh. Pack life was much easier, where you always knew where the hunting grounds were. Then again, she hadn't really had much trouble being a lone wolf up until this point. When Drazonic spoke, she wandered over to him. Leaning forward Mission sniffed the air and the ground, finding the faint but unmistakable scent of elk. "Yes, that's it!" she said excitedly, letting a smile tug at the corner of her mouth. "Okay, let's follow," she said, glancing back to Draz. She was definitely ready to go. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

The male waited until Mission gave him the signal, and when she did, he didn't feel confident. If he did something wrong, that would probably mean the starvation to death for both of them.
Snapping away this thoughts, he frowned and pulled his belly to the floor, getting ready to pounce.
His muscles tightened, and after a while, he lundged on the cow elk with his mouth open, and his fangs and claws ready, but the elk was faster and ran to the right side.
This was what Draz expected, though, and he ran after it.
"You're not getting away... Not today" He thought, and unsucessfully tried to bite it again.

Mission | Lone Wolf Mission nodded to Drazonic and began to follow as he started walking. She wasn't very used to hunting in the snow, but she was confident that she could make it work. Especially now that she had another wolf depending on her. When they reached their intended target, Mission stopped near Draz. Her ear twitched toward the male as he spoke. She took a moment to examine the area, they way the elk was facing, the rocks and trees around it.. if Draz approached from his current position, the elk was likely to turn to the right. To counter this, Mission lowered herself closer to the ground and took slow and careful steps over to the right side. Now in position Mission cast another glance toward Drazonic, waiting for him to lunge. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'
