Apparition | Lone Wolf "Gotcha!" a child-like voice echoed through the woods. A brightly colored bug crawled over a log, but soon found itself trapped under small, ghostly white paws. The young wolf removed his paws and greeted the bug with its nose, but the bug spread its wings and quickly took off to escape its captor. "Aww.." the pup whined, watching his insect friend be carried away by the wind. He let himself plop down onto his hindquarters, his face scrunched up into a disappointed expression. Apparition was so very bored. Normally, he spent his endless days wandering the landscape for anyone needing his help. But it had been months since anyone last needed him. And when he wasn't by himself, he usually found a pack that allowed him to stay for some time. The last pack he'd come across.. hadn't been friendly. Perhaps they didn't like the idea of a ghost wolf in their territory, but he felt it was unnecessary to chase him out. Perhaps he'd go back later to play some harmless tricks on them.. just so that maybe they'd treat future guests with a little more dignity. But in the meantime, he'd continue chasing bugs and scaring birds. He didn't hunt, as he had no need to eat, but he had no desire to kill anyway. He wasn't phased by death either; in fact, Apparition was willing to make friends with just about anyone, the reason being that even death couldn't end a friendship for him. He had many friends that were dead, some that he never even met while they lived. Perhaps it was a bit morbid, but he was so used to it that he didn't see it that way anymore. Resting his head on the log where he caught his temporary beetle friend, Apparition let out a sigh. "Why are ghosts so lonely?" he asked aloud to no one in particular. His gaze rested on a boulder straight ahead, while part of him hoped he would finally come across a friendly stranger to talk to. Perhaps he was hoping for too much. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Aw ^^ Apparition is cute. I'll join with Larky)
Larky wandered through the woods cautiosly, one paw after another. She had heard that in this forest there were ghosts... A shiver came down his spine and she shook her head. Those were surely líes that other wolves invented to keep strangers away from their territory. Either way. She kept walking. crack! she shivered when she stepped on a stick that broke under her weight. She could not deny she was a little scared. But some side of her, the curious side, wanted to find a ghost: on her three-four years of dirt under claws she had never seen something alike.
She sighed. I shall not be afraid of ghosts... After all, they life surely it's boring and lonely She thought to herself, looking at the distant sky and the moonlight shining through the sequoia trees that towered in the forest.
She didn't get surprised when she heard the typical kra-kra! of ravens anouncing the death. She wondered if there was prey in that part of the forest. Or maybe not even prey liked it? She was confused. She liked being alone and she liked this mysterious forest like not so many of the other wolves.

Apparition | Lone Wolf In his boredom, Apparation began to hum quietly. To anyone not fond of ghosts, it was likely one of the most eerie noises that could ever be produced. He didn't really care if anyone heard him, partly because he was fairly certain he was alone in the forest. And if he wasn't, he wasn't worried about it. But his humming was suddenly interrupted when he heard a noise. It was a quick crack, like a snapping twig or stick. It made Apparition's ghostly white ears perk while he lifted his head from the log to turn to the source. It didn't seem to be in view yet, and though it was likely a rabbit or some other prey animal, he was curious either way. The spirit wolf finally pushed himself back onto his paws, and began walking toward the direction the noise had come from. And there, just beyond a few trees, was a she-wolf. Apparition regarded her with a curious stare for a short moment, with his head titled ever so slightly to the side. Then, coming to the conclusion that she was not of the pack that had been rude to him earlier, he grinned. "Hi!" the ghost exclaimed, his voice cracking a bit from the excitement. "Do you live here?" His tail wagged slowly from side to side, giving off a friendly vibe that acted as a stark contrast to his ghastly appearance. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Larky widened her eyes, her fur was standing. But that shock only lasted a few minutes since she noticed that the ghost was friendly, and she felt bad "Sorry about that" she apologized, and smiled to let the ghost know she was comfortable with his presence "And yes, I use to wander in this forest since I left my pack. How about you? Do you live here? What's your name?" She realized she had made a lot of questions, but she was so excited about meeting a ghost, and a friend in her life wouldn't be bad, she liked company even if she was a little short-tempered sometimes.
She looked the white ghost and another question surged on her mind: "How does dying feel?". But she wouldn't ask that. She didn't know if the ghost liked talking about it. But she was unsure, "Is it painful?" She thought, silent.

Apparition | Lone Wolf Apparition saw the stranger's eyes widen, but was relieved to see that she then relaxed. As a ghost, he learned to act friendly right off the bat so that others would know he didn't mean any harm. Then again, it didn't always work. Being in his pup form usually helped to appear less scary, and he liked appearing as a pup anyway. "No, I don't live here. I don't really live anywhere. I was just looking for someone to play with, or someone who needs my help," he answered, letting his body fall back into a sitting position. "My name is Apparition. What's yours?" He once again titled his head slightly to the side, letting everything the stranger said sink in. "Why did you leave your pack? Did something happen?" he asked, curious about her story. The idea didn't register in his mind that the stranger might have been asking too many questions, considering he was asking just as many. It was only natural for him when he met someone new. He liked to hear about others just as much as he liked to talk about himself. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"My name is Larkspur, Larky for short, nice to meet you" She said with a grin. She was surprised about the quickness she had felt comfortable around Apparition, like if they had always been friends. "And about my pack. Well. My father died on a fire. My mother was never the same and one night I woke her up, I greeted her and left the pack, and since then I'm on my own" She said, but not sad, death was a natural part of life after all. "So for how many time are you staying around, either way?" She said afraid the ghost left the forest and she never saw him again.
She gazed as a leaf whirled behind Apparition, it was strange to see the wolf's transparence.

Apparition | Lone Wolf "Nice to meet you too! I like your name," Apparition replied cheerily. He frowned, however, when Larkspur began to talk about her father. Of course death didn't both Apparition, but he knew very well how much it upset others. And he didn't like others being upset. However, Larky didn't seem to be shaken by the events that she told him about. It seemed that she had already come to terms with it. He was glad, although, a bit disappointed. Apparition was usually the ones to help wolves overcome the shock and sadness of death, though he would never wish it one anyone. "You just left? Don't you miss her?" he asked, not considering that perhaps he was asking too personal questions. When Larky asked her questions, he paused a moment to put together his answer. "I haven't been here very long.. but I don't think I'll be here much longer either. I'm looking for anyone who needs my help. What about you?" Suddenly, the ghostly wolf's eyes lit up with excitement. "What about you dad? Do you miss him? Maybe I could look for him, if he's still in this plane of existence.""Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Larky listened him as he talked "Yes I miss moth..." She froze as Apparition asked if she wanted him to find her father. She widened and her mouth became a joyful grin "Do... Do... Do You mean it!? Th-Thanks a lot! I'd love to see him again. And maybe... Maybe Mom would be the same again..." She said but then she shut up and with a grin she started wondering a lot of questions about both dead and his father.
"Sorry if you feel uncomfortable about this question but... Does... Does it hurt? I mean... You know..." She looked at the floor, clawing the ground as she felt the bird's gaze that looked at her wairly.

Apparition | Lone Wolf Apparition was taken slightly aback by Larky's reaction, but he grinned as well. "Yes! But.." he trailed off, his grin fading away almost entirely. "I can look for him, but he might not still be around. See, when a wolf passes on, their spirit still lingers around for a time. In some cases, they can't leave if something is still tying their spirit to this world, like trying to communicate something to a loved one. But that's part of the reason why I'm here, to help them so they can move on, just like I help the wolves who are still living." He seemed please with his explanation, as the smile had returned to his face. "So.. I can't guarentee that your dad is still around here, but I can look for him."At Larky's question about death, Apparition stopped a moment to think about it. It had been a while since his death... almost as long as he'd been alive. "Well.. not for me, I think, but I can't really remember. I think I passed away in my sleep, so I guess I was a lucky one. I was really old though, and it was a long time ago." He didn't seem bothered at all to talk about it, mostly because he'd gotten pretty used to life as a deceased wolf. But, he could see how it would be interesting to others, so he didn't mind the questions. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"Alright, I'll make sure not to make many ilussions" She grinned. She wanted to nuzzle Apparition, but she just watched the leaves whirling behind his pelage.
Larky heard as the ghost talked about death, and nodded "It might sound strange but dying it's a part of living, right? I mean... It's the end, sightly connected with borning, that is the beggining. I guess that we born crying and we die smiling because life is like a first hunt, you are afraid at the beggining and proud at the end..." She said, wondering a thousand more things as she finished the sentence, but remaining in silence clawing the floor as her claws got dirty.

Apparition | Lone Wolf "I always thought about it that way. Everyone dies, right?" Apparition replied. It seemed strange to him to find a wolf so willing to talk about it with him. From his experience, most wolves didn't like being reminded that everyone had to die someday. He didn't really remember if the thought used to bother him while he was living. He couldn't recall ever being afraid of dying. "My death was a long time ago, so I can't really remember.." he trailed off, letting his mind start to wander. He had seen other wolves pass on, and it was very different every time. Sometimes, they went smiling, proud of everything they had accomplished in their life and the choices they had made. But sometimes, when Apparition was too late, they died with regrets or sadness. This was perhaps the only death that bothered him, when he felt he could have done something had he only encountered them sooner. But, he said none of this to Larky. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"It's hard to accept it for some wolves but if we didn't die well... We would not be living beings" She said. That was somewhat confusing to her.
"Did you have a pack when you were alive" She managed to ask. She hoped Apparition didn't have a really ugly and sad past in his pack or with his mate or pups, if he had had. She looked at him. He was wise, she knew it. She thought that she could see it just looking at his transparent eyes. "How were they when he was alive? Maybe a very light blue" She thought, but said nothing.

Apparition | Lone Wolf "I never really thought about it that way, but I guess it's true," Apparition replied. He wondered how much he really 'died' considering he's still able to roam the land like living wolves. But he had pondered that many times before, why he was given the task of helping other from beyond the grave instead of someone else. But, he wasn't complaining. He enjoyed what he did. "I used to. I was in the same pack almost my whole life," he answered. He was trying to jog the memories of his pack, but it was still fuzzy. "I stayed with them a little while even after I died, but when the wolves needing my help were becoming farther and farther away, I decided to leave. I haven't gone back since." He frowned slightly at the last sentence. In truth, he hadn't thought much about his old pack. It had been at least five or six years since he last saw them. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

After thinking about it a moment she looked at him "Don’t You miss them? Maybe you shall go visiting them" She said slowly, choosing cautiosly every word she said to Apparition.
"What about we look for our father and you for your pack?" She asked, almost thinking outloud, but she soon wondered if she should have asked that, maybe the ghost wasn’t interested on it, or in leaving the forest.
She hoped she hadn't said anything wrong "If you want" she said, shy.

Apparition | Lone Wolf "I don't know.." Apparition answered, sounding a bit unsure. "It's been a long time. There might not even be anyone there who'd recognize me. Maybe the pack doesn't even exist anymore." He wasn't trying to talk himself out of it, but rather he was just expressing his concerns out loud. He was feeling a bit upset with himself for only now realizing he should have kept an eye on his pack. Now he wasn't sure if there was any reason to go back. "That sounds good to me," he said with a nod. After all, he didn't have anything else to do. It had been a few weeks at least since he'd last aided a wolf. And, maybe he and Larky could become friends. It had been a while since he'd made a friend that's still living, too. "Unless you really don't want to, could you take me to the place where your father died? We should start looking there.""Speech." | 'Thoughts.'
