Apparition | Lone Wolf Apparition thought for a moment about Bear's question. He glanced up toward the sky for the answer, and found that it was growing dark. The ghost himself normally traveled through the night, but he was aware that living wolves weren't always capable of such. And it had been a while since he'd last slept, which he enjoyed doing. Despite having his mind mostly made up, he decided to leave it to the other two. "I can eat, though I normally don't since I don't get hungry anymore," Apparition answered. While he could still consume meat, he didn't see much of a point in doing it. He never had a problem with killing prey when he needed it to survive, but now it seemed pointless and unnecessary. "Rest sounds nice. Unless you'd like to eat first. Would you like to decide?""Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Bear looked at Larkspur "I think you should decide, since you're the only that will be affected by it" He said, not sad, but dead serious.
"Well yes, I can't say a little food wouldn't help, but I'm too tired to hunt, so we should fish" She answered, thinking about it for a second. "I feel like I haven't eaten in ages" she thought to herself, and hoped that the river was full of salmon. She was impatient, and she would loose interest in fishing soon, and maybe she would go bed without even eating if there wasn't much fish in it.
"Well, let's go then. Do you know if there's any water source near?" Bear asked. He had been dead for ages, but he hadn't really explored a lot.
"I think there was a river, but I'm not sure..." She doubted "And I really haven't been a lot of time exploring by... I kind of just met Apparition and then he just helped me find you and well, here we are"
"Oh" Bear said. He thought she had been there long, but he didn't say it.

Apparition | Lone Wolf "I've never gone fishing!" Apparition said excitedly. "My pack's land was filled with lots of small creatures, with some elk too, so we never needed to." Not that he planned on catching any fish, though he was interested in watching. At his age there weren't a lot of new things to experience, so he was ecstatic when the opportunity presented itself. "That's okay, we can look around a little bit," he said, having been silent for most of the conversation. He didn't recall seeing any water on his way in, but then again, he didn't really pay much attention anymore. Unless Larky was on the verge of starving, there wasn't much of a rush anyway. "Oh, you can help me fishing if you want" Larkspur grinned, thinking that the Ghost might want to fish for first time, still not minding if he didn't want to, but trying to encourage him to "C'mmon it'll be fun!" She said, wagging her tail.
Bear grinned "Well you guys don't count on me" He yawned, curling his tongue in the end. "I could sleep two entire years" He laughed while saying this, but he was truly tired, and he enjoyed sleeping.
"So ghosts get tired too, huh?" Larky thought. She was now starting to get a basic concept of what Ghosts really were. They also get tired, they also ate. They were pretty like much like her, only that they were much wiser. And she was afraid of death, and they weren't. Wait... afraid of Death! Now she could ask that! "Apparition... does... it hurt?" She asked, shy. "You know, dying..." Larky was afraid that Apparition would get uncomfortable about it, but she was too curious.

Apparition | Lone Wolf "Sure!" Apparition replied with a grin. Fishing sounded fun, and Larky would probably eat more than just one fish. "You'll have to teach me though." He was confident that Larky would be a great teacher. Apparition nodded to Bear. "I may be dead, but I still like sleeping. It's one of the things that ghosts still need, though nowhere near as often as the living. It doesn't do anything for us physically, but because sleeping sort of acts like mental den-cleaning, we'll slowly start to lose our minds without it. And that's no fun." In addition to that, sometimes Apparition just liked to sleep on issues. He always felt refreshed when he awoke. The ghost glanced to Larky and frowned at her question, though only because he was thinking. "I was old and asleep when I passed. So I was one of the lucky ones. Some wolves dream of dying in a glorious fight and some die in a fight that they didn't choose. In my life I never looked for trouble, but I didn't run from it either. I think that's why I was chosen. But to answer your question, it will always depend on the wolf and the situation. There are many ways to die, many are painful and few are painless. But you'll find that, when it's all over, living a meaningless life is a lot more painful than dying.""Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

[Ohhh, that reminds me of Wolf's Rain!]
"Sure, I'll teach you!" Larky said with a big grin, though she had never taught someone anything. But there was a first time for everything, right? "But it's the first time for Apparition as well!" She thought, and she couldn't help giggling a little. "Guess you really don't have to learn everything and do everything you wanted before death"
Bear also smiled as Apparition spoke "Well I really don't want to loose my head. I think that you guys should sleep after fishing, too. Larkspur has to, since it's indispensable for her organism, but I think it wouldn't be bad if you joined us, Apparition" He yawned, and turned his head at the Ghost as he talked about Death
"I have to agree. My death hurt a second, like when you lick the fire, it hurts and then it quickly gets away when you lick something cold." It's not the best example he could give, but it was the only one he could think of at the moment.
"I see" Larkspur said slowly "I guess I'll find out when I'm dying, right?" She chuckled.

Apparition | Lone Wolf [[ OOC: I've never seen it. ]] Apparition nodded. "I could use some sleep too. It's been at least a couple of days, I think." He could likely last for days longer, but he never liked to. Though he'd never actually tested his limits, Apparition knew his mind started to feel cloudy at a week or so without sleep. He gave the closest thing to a shrug as a wolf could give. "I wish I could offer more, but death is a bit tricky. It's never exactly the same for two wolves, and I've only ever experienced it once. I've been around for a lot of deaths though, and a lot of wolves react to it differently." Sometimes Apparition would comfort wolves when they passed, and he always preferred the ones who had already accepted it. It was much harder to comfort the ones who weren't ready to go, and it pained him. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"I think we found what we were looking for" Larky muttered, hearing the sound of a river near by. She really hoped so, since she was really tired and wanted to sleep soon.
"Death is different to everyone, I agree. Though I know little about this. But I have faced and accepted my own. And yes, I think we did" Bear said, talking quickly and shivering once in a while. It made him quite nervous to talk about death sometimes.
"Well, I'm gonna sleep, you guys proceed with your stuff" He said with a yawn when he saw the river, and looked for the perfect tree to lay under. When he found it, he curled under it and tried to sleep. It was a big Pine tree, and its rots made it more comfortable.
"So, do you want to start?" Larkspur asked Apparition.

Apparition | Lone Wolf Apparition cast a quick glance to Bear before he turned back to approach the river. Leaning forward, he gazed into it for a moment. Very slowly, he put his paw into a shallow part of the water. It had been a while since he felt cool water touch his fur. After a moment, he brought his paw back out again. The ghost soon turned his attention back to Larky when she spoke. "Sure! But you'll need to show me how." Apparition looked back to the water, trying to catch a glimpse of a fish swimming by. Larky nod, and touched the water. "It's quite smooth today" She thought. "Alright. First, you crouch" Larky said, and she crouched on the riverbank. "Then you wait until a fish comes by... That shouldn't take too long" Larky explained, as she waited.
After a few minutes, she saw a big salmon swimming across the current. She gave a glance at Apparition, nod, and then with a swift and violent movement of her paw, she fished the shaky and slippery animal. It was mostly scales, but it was better than nothing, and she killed it with a bite to stop the moving.
"And that's all. Make sure you kill it before it goes back to water" The female said, hoping Apparition wouldn't feel bad for the fish, because she had had when she first fished.

Apparition | Lone Wolf Apparition nodded at Larky's instructions as he glanced back toward the water. It seemed easy enough. He crouched on the riverbank and positioned himself so he could lean forward over the water. Then, he waited. Soon enough, Apparition caught sight of a flash of silver. He took a swipe at the fish, but found that his paw didn't quite reach. In his current pup form, his legs weren't long enough to reach. "Hm.. I can fix this," he said aloud, then his body began to change. First it was enveloped in a soft light, and then it grew in size. When the light faded, Apparition looked around three years of age. "Okay! Let's try again," he said cheerfully. Once again he perched on the riverbank, waiting for a fish. When one came by, he swung his paw and fished it right out of the river where it landed on the bank. With a pounce and a bite, the fish was dead. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Larkspur watched as Aparition unsuccessfully tried to fish, then tried again with his adult form, now doing it better and actually fishing something.
"Very well done!" She said, cheerfully "You should help me more often. I mean, if you want to" She said, laying down to start eating "Are you sure you don't want some?" Larky asked, though she was sure he wouldn't accept. She really didn't mind if he did. She liked sharing.
The brown-haired female started eating one of the fishes, supposing that Apparition would grab the other one if he wanted to eat. It was full of scales, but she managed to pick them out. On the other hand, the fish was pretty tasty, and it was quite big.
"I hope it doesn't start raining soon" She commented giving a yawn and looking at the skies which seemed pretty cloudy. "I like sun the best"

Apparition | Lone Wolf "Thanks!" Apparition replied, feeling fairly pleased with himself. He wagged his tail at Larky's suggestion. "Sure! I'd love too." Even though he had changed forms, he was still acting like his cheery self. Though at Larky's offer, he shook his head. "Only if you really don't want it. But you look hungry. Living wolves need to eat, but I don't. I'd feel bad if I knew I killed that fish for nothing." It was a bit odd, but he didn't have a problem with normal wolves killing prey. It was natural and necessary. But Apparition, who didn't need to eat to survive, felt that it was a waste for him to kill something for himself to eat. "Hm," Apparition hummed, glancing up at the sky at Larky's comment. "I like both. But I think I like rain a bit more. It depends on what mood I'm in." He brought his head back down and slid down into a laying position near the water. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Larkspur smiled as she grabbed the other fish. It had less scales, and this was something she had been hoping for. "Alright, thank you. But... how do you do not to miss food?" She asked, curiously. She could hardly imagine how she would live without it.
"And, I -- don't really like rain. I don't like the feeling of being wet" She replied, being fairly honest "If we're traveling tomorrow, I hope it stops by the time we wake... It might fade scents away" It seemed, however, that it would start raining soon, since the sky was cloudy and the moon not able to be seen at all.
After a few seconds, there was a thunderbolt and lighting, and Larky gave a little jump. She usually got very frightened by them.

Apparition | Lone Wolf Apparition shrugged. "I am fairly quick to forget what it tastes like. Sometimes, when I'm traveling, I'll pass by a pack that has extra food. They'll offer me what will ultimately go to waste, and so I eat that. Sometimes I eat because it makes them happy. Living wolves can't offer much to a ghost like me, but they try and I appreciate it." As he spoke, Apparition looked into the water. "Then for your sake, I'll hope that it doesn't rain," he replied, glancing up at the sky. When the lightning flashed, he frowned. "It would appear that we're wrong.. we'll have to find you a dry tree to sleep under." When he looked over, Apparition noticed that Larky looked a bit frightened. At this point he transformed once again, and took the form of a much larger and much older self. How he had looked around seven years of age. He'd hoped that this appearance would be more comforting. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'
