Larky was actually very happy Apparition used his larger and older form. It made her feel safer, and when other thunderbolt appeared in the sky, she decided to walk much closer to him.

"Th-thank you so much"  She muttered, relieved. She walked near to her father and curled close of him, trying to feel safer. "I hate rain"  She thought to herself "I hate being wet, I hate lighting and I hate thunderbolt and those sounds they make!"   She wasn't much of an optimist.

"Can't sleep?"  Her father chuckled. Larky jumped a little at the sound of his voice, as she thought he was asleep. 
"When it comes to rain, I'm not much of a lover"  She said with a sneeze.

"Come under this tree. We have a long way to walk tomorrow"  He yawned, as they exchanged places.

Apparition continued to walk alongside Larky until they reached the tree where Bear slept. He sat down nearby and slid back onto his belly with a yawn. The thunder and lightning didn't bother him even in life, but he saw how much it frightened Larky. He hoped she'd be able to get some rest despite the downpour.

Resting his head on his paws, Apparition listened to both the rain and the conversation between Larky and her father. Even though Larky was in distress, he smiled at their interaction.

"Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Larkspur smiled at his father "Thank you so much, daddy"  She whispered. He wasn't really ashamed of calling his father that way. "Night, Apparition, Night, dad" She said, not knowing if Apparition was asleep, but just in case. "Tomorrow will be a long way, so I better focus on the nice sounds of the environment"  She thought to herself, making an effort. And she realized she actually did like something about rain. The sound of it.

"Good night. I hope you both sleep well"  Bear yawned, and closed his eyes to submerge himself on a world of darkness. The lighting continued for long, and he was afraid Larky couldn't sleep. He wasn't much worried about Apparition, since rain and lighting didn't really seem to bother him a lot, or at least Bear thought so. 

And for both Bear and Larky, the day had been very long and exciting. So many things had happened. And they wouldn't change any of those.

"Goodnight," Apparition mumbled in response. The patter of the rain along with the occasional cricket lulled the ghost to sleep very quickly. But just before he did, Apparition thought about the journey the had laying ahead of them. He wondered if it were fair to drag Larky and Bear along with him to find his pack. He thought about many other things until his mind was too cloudy to go on about them, and he slept.

Sleeping on issues was always a good way to solve them. The answers would likely come in the morning.

"Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Larkspur woke up calmly, silently opening her eyes, but not remembering where she was. After a few minutes of looking around, it all came back to her. She looked at Apparition and then looked at her father.
Bear was a sleeper, so she doubted he would wake any time soon.

"I'm so hungry"  She thought, going near the river, which wasn't too far away from her sleeping spot, and patiently waited for a fish to pass by.
She was sleepy, and many trouts swam in front of her before she could ever react. 
Frustrated, she started looking for something else to eat, and could find some blueberries hanging on a bush.

"Well, much better than nothing"  She thought, and went back to the place where she had slept, and started to eat. Actually, the flavor was really good, now that she tasted it.

Apparition slept most of the night on his side with his back to the river. His ear twitched when he heard Larky moving around. Somehow, he'd trained himself to be a light sleeper since he couldn't rely on cues like hunger to wake him up. It was the same reason why some ghosts could sleep for months or years.

Eventually the ghost rolled up onto his belly, yawned and stood up. It took a few moments for his eyes to adjust but he soon found Larky walking back to their resting place. "What do you have there?"

"Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Larkspur looked at the ghost smiled, with her mouth full of semi-chewed blueberries and her fangs stained of a violet and weird juice "Blueberries! Do you want some? I have a lot of them!" She said, wagging her tail happily. She was very proud of her discoverment. "They taste like Heaven!" Larkspur chuckled.

She had never Imagine something that came from a plant  tasting so good. 

Bear, which had been sleeping peacefully facing at the Tree he had been sleeping next to, growled asleep.

"Ah, don't worry. He usually does so. At least when he was alive"  Larky said giving a little laugh

"Maybe a few," Apparition answered. He didn't really feel the same way about plants as he did animals. Besides, berries could be eaten off of a bush without killing the bush, so that he also didn't mind. But since wolves were carnivores, he never really thought of eating berries.

Apparition was approaching Larky when he heard Bear growl. He stopped and glanced over toward him. "Strange," he replied to Larky, wondering why the wolf would growl in his sleep. Perhaps he was dreaming.

He then leaned down and ate a few of the blueberries Larky had gathered. They did taste nice.

"Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"How do you like them?" Larky asked, smiling and leaning down, forward to eat more of the violet, juicy berries. And they actually filled her stomatch pretty fast, which surprised the female pretty much.

"So where are we moving today?"  Larkspur asked curiously. She used to be pretty impatient and curious.

Suddenly, her father woke up "Ohh I had bad headaches while sleeping"  Bear said, giving a little frustrated growl.
After that, his eyes brightened "Blueberries! Can I have some?"  He asked, slightly leaning toward them.

"Sure!" Larky said, as her father leaned down his head and ate the berries wildly.

She smiled at the image of her father and her friend eating blueberries.

"I like them well enough," Apparition replied. Not quite as tasty as meat or fish, as most of his species would likely agree, but the berries tasted alright. It was certainly something he could eat if he missed the taste of food. Even poisonous berries didn't pose any danger to him, and some still tasted incredibly sweet.

Once he was done eating blueberries, Apparition thought on Larky's question. "We need to head toward another end of the forest. To the north. My old pack might be somewhere around there, if they're still around."

His attention was caught by Larky's father when he awoke. Apparition smiled and stepped aside so Bear could more easily get to the blueberries.

"Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

When he finished eating, Bear grinned at Apparition and Larkspur with his mouth and muzzle stained with purple juice. Those blueberries were juicy indeed!

"Seems like someone's on a good mood today" Larky said, chuckling

" Well, is there a reason not to?" Her father said happily, wagging his tail in excitement. Larky was right. He actually was in a good modo. Those blueberries had helped though.

"So when do we go? And where?" She asked, impatient and excited. She was afraid that Apparition got too sad if they didn't find them though. “But we will"

Apparition couldn't help but chuckle. He found that other ghosts were usually cynical or depressed, not at all like Bear. It was very nice to have someone like him around, and Larky too. He suspected it was because the two of them were together again, and he was glad to have played a part in their reunion.

"We can go whenever you two are ready. Now that we're fully rested we should be able to start walking anytime. And if we need to, we can stop for more food along the way if you get hungry." Apparition now realized that he was traveling with a living wolf, and needed to remember that she'd need things like food. She'd probably remind him, though.

"Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Larkspur smiled at Apparition's chuckle and then looked around "So, what about start walking now?"

Bear looked at his daughter "Sure! But... Where?" He asked. But Larky wouldn't have the answer.

Both Wolves looked at each other before turning their gaze at Apparition. Larkspur was suddenly worried they didn't find the Ghost's packmates. What if he got too disappointed? But she was also worried by some selfish thoughts too... What if they did find Apparition's pack? Would her father and her friend be able to rest in Peace and leave her all by her own? No, they would still be happy so that didn't matter... Did it?

Apparition nodded at Larky's suggestion. He then turned to Bear to answer his question. "We need to head to the northern end of the forest. I can lead the way." It had been so many years since he'd last been there.. but he was still fairly certain he still knew the way.

"Okay, let's go!" he exclaimed, feeling his pup-like enthusiasm returning. Even if they didn't find his pack, Apparition felt that the journey with his friends would still be an experience.
