Aras | Lone Wolf Accompanied by chirping birds and a breeze rustling the grass, Aras hummed to himself. The fact of the matter was that Aras was incredibly bored. He had no current purpose, no present motivation. It wasn't a stretch to say his life lacked meaning, but he wouldn't come to that conclusion himself. It had been nearly a year since the events that caused him to leave his pack, and since then he'd managed to keep himself busy enough as a wanderer, even though company came scarcely and left quickly. The brown-colored wolf stomped through the grassy plain, occasionally mumbling to no one in particular. "Aras is so tired of the quiet. Aras needs noise.. noise noise noise noise.." he rambled on to himself until his speech devolved into soft laughter. Eventually he stopped walking and cast a glance at the sky. He held his gaze there for a moment, but suddenly he flopped onto the grass. Laying on his side, Aras inhaled silently before releasing a loud sigh. "Aras thinks.. he is lonely now.""Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

This was not at all where she intended to be. Something was wrong, it was too sunny, too clear. Actually, the breeze was nice, and the air smelled delicious, fresh. Blaidd had smelled grass before, of course, but Cyan had a different ecosystem, different plants. The large speckled grey she-wolf hummed serenely to herself as a gust of wind blew into her; she turned her face toward it, eyes closed and chin raised, sighing deeply as air flowed through her thick fur.
She heard someone speaking, another wolf possibly. Once satisfied for the moment with the breeze's work, Blaidd cracked on, padding quietly toward the scent and sound of the other being. When she found him, he was laying down in the grass. He looked peaceful, but perhaps a little company wouldn't hurt. After all, you never know what's in store until you get there. Blaidd stepped closer, head level with her shoulders and ears forward as she approached. "Salutations, fellow."

Aras | Lone Wolf "Hm?" Aras hummed inquisitively at the greeting. At first he tilted his head to find the source of the voice, but then he scrambled to his feet quite suddenly. "Hello, lady!" he greeted the stranger, stretching his neck forward to examine her. She had a very interestingly marked pelt, and it intrigued him. It almost seemed to glow. Something he'd no doubt ask about sooner or later. "You need something, lady?" he asked, glancing around for any trouble. Of course Aras didn't mind the stranger talking to him, he had been bored only a moment before. He soon realized he had not introduced himself, and with a grin he added, "Aras is the name. You have a name?" Despite being offered a simple greeting, Aras was quite talkative. Of course, he'd never realize this on his own. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"Blythe," she inclined her head as she responded, a faint smile crossing her lips. "A pleasure to meet you, Aras. Sorry to bother you, if I am. I seem to have landed myself in a place i wouldn't normally make my home. The air here, though crisp and clear, is a bit to lacking in a certain... scent. Then again," the she-wolf hesitated, regarding the other curously as her bright green eyes emitted a dull glow. Then, she half smiled and tilted her head to the side as she glanced at the sky then back down at Aras. "Oh, what's the harm. Let's go on an adventure! Surely this land holds many secrets undiscovered and even unsought"
As soon as Blaidd said that, she realised it was probably not what normal custom dictated. She was just always so eager to see new places and meet new creatures; custom was thrown to the wind in many ways. Of course she tried to be respectful, rules of respect were probably universal. It was only a logical assumption. Several thoughts swam through her head as she stood there trying to think of a better way to go about making friends. Will this wolf think I am weird? Am I interrupting a nap? Seems amiable enough, at least. Maybe we can meet other wolves, or venture into a different land. How vast is this land?

Aras | Lone Wolf "Blythe.." Aras mumbled, as if trying out the name. "The lady has a lovely name." He sat to listen while she continued to speak, and quickly began to shake his head. "No, no bother! Aras was just very bored before you found him.." Eventually, her next words sunk in and Aras suddenly became more interested. "You're not from here? You a traveler like Aras? Where you from?" He followed her gaze up the the sky, where he held it there for a moment. He only glanced back down at her when she spoke again. Now not many things caught Aras off guard, but this did. Not that he was against becoming best friends with a wolf he'd met about twenty seconds ago, but he had to admit that even for him, it was a little bit strange. At any rate, he didn't even care. "Of course!" Aras blurted out. He once again pushed himself to his feet. "Aras is very fond of adventure. He would love to travel with such a nice lady.""Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Had she no fur on her face, her blushing would have been majorly obvious; as it were, the glow of her eyes increased and the crescent moon marking shone bright for a little bit as Aras complimented her. "You are a very peculiar creature, aren't you?" she mused, smiling warmly and humming quietly. "Not that I am to judge. The universe has much more to it and is much too vast to be caught up in judgement of slight peculiarities... " The wolf trailed off, again gazing at the sky. Perhaps we can walk and talk.
Blaidd resolved to make the most out of her experience here on earth, however long what would be. She bounded over to a random spot in the grass and dug her paws into the ground, heaping dirt then forming it into a tight rough sphere in the air to show Aras. "Say this is my home," she began. The sphere rotated quickly on an unseen axis, and tiny sprouts began to poke from the surface as Blaidd herself beamed at it, her expression happily reminiscient.

Aras | Lone Wolf "Aras supposes he is peculiar.." Aras replied, hardly giving the suggestion any thought. He was aware of his peculiar actions and his odd speech patterns, though they seemed normal to him a majority of the time. He continued to listen intently, finding Blythe to be a very interesting individual. He found her formal way of speaking to be particularly intriguing. When Blythe suddenly moved, Aras followed. Lowering his head to get a better look at what she was doing, he watched with great curiosity. It would have been safe to assume that Aras had never seen anything like it before. Despite his questionable sanity, Aras was actually a rather clever individual. However, he couldn't quite grasp the concept of worlds beyond planet Earth. "Aras.. does not understand. Your home is this?""Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

She chuckled and focused on what she was saying. "Ah, it is a representation. Do you ever look up at the sky at night and of course notice the shining colorful dots, even the moon? Each of these is a potential world," she explained as the sprouts grew little leaves and some snaked around like tendrils grasping an orb. "Mine was a very large world full of vibrant foliage. Just imagine Earth but bigger and naturally darker, with... so many colors, so many energies..." she trailed off, again thinking about her home planet. She had often in her migration, wondered what type of place her new home would be. Sien had accompanied her, they had been traveling together for a long while before Cyan broke. She wondered where he was at this moment. Neither of them had contacted the other in a long time.
Suddenly she broke out of her trance, shaking her head and glancing at Aras with another warm friendly smile on her lips. The little plants on the sphere had stopped growing after enveloping it and becoming what was now a miniature globe. "Where was I?"

Aras | Lone Wolf "You come from the sky? But the lady has no wings," Aras replied, though he wasn't really questioning it. Even on Earth, one could meet a large number of diverse individuals just in their lifetime. A lone wolf like Aras met significantly more. Still though, he had never met someone claiming to come from another world in the sky. Aras only partly followed but he could imagine the world that Blythe described; perhaps like a jungle. "Have you run from your home?" he asked curiously. If so, that would make one thing they had in common. Though Aras was more of an exile. Blythe didn't seem like an exile, so he was curious as to why she was here. He still watched the rotating sphere that the wolf described as her home. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"Hmmm... I have run from the demolition." The plants around the sphere slowly began to die, starting from one point in the forest and spreading. As this happened, dirt also began to fall from the sphere itself, back onto the ground. "I very recently witnessed the destruction of my planet, and it was awful. So many creatures, little ones who were perpetually one with the world, they all died because the world itself was dying," she recounted sorrowfully. Her ear drooped a little and she sighed as she watched the now-shaking sphere disintegrate. "My travel partner - I suppose you could say pack mate as well - would tell you it was an attack. I know nothing of who could have done such a thing, but they must be wrought with avarice to feel the need to suck the life out of a whole flourishing planet then destroy it."
Once all the plants had shriveled up and some had fallen off, the sphere exploded. Dirt flew every which way, some of it hitting Blaidd in the face; she didn't care. She was no longer glowing or smiling but had her head bowed and eyes closed.

Aras | Lone Wolf Aras leaned in toward the sphere to get a better look. He could picture they dying world, but the deaths of its inhabitants didn't sink in. Aras had never met them, so he had no emotional connect. While he formed emotional connections to others quickly, he had a complete lack of sympathy toward those he didn't know. It was a drawback, or perhaps a benefit, resulting from the trauma of his earlier life. Though he didn't care for those who had lost their lives in Blythe's planet's destruction, he did see that it upset her. When the sphere disintegrated, he looked back up at her. She seemed different now, obviously upset. It made him mad. Not at her, but at whatever had caused her planet to be destroyed. "Aras will help you find a new home!" he exclaimed. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

After a moment, Blaidd looked back up and gazed at Aras quietly before sighing and smiling faintly. "Thank you, Aras. This should be quite an adventure, just what I was looking for. Where should we start?" She effectively pushed her thoughts aside and began to feel better with every passing moment. Really, what could I have done? The most distressing part was watching the death spread and not being able to help it. Now that they are all gone, they are surely finding other new beings to inhabit.
"This land seems vast and lush, though the sun feels a tad warm," she observed, then her lips curled up into a soft but eager smile. "Let's explore!" This time, her eyes didn't start glowing, but her blue markings seemed to shimmer as though she was running under the moonlight. Particles of dirt re-situated themselves in the small hole that had been dug out to provide for the sphere, and soon lush grass began to grow from it, mingling with the rest of the grass and leaving no trace of having ever been disturbed at all.

Aras | Lone Wolf "Hm.." Aras hummed in response to Blythe's question. Where would they go? He could lead her out of the steppes and then.. to where? Aras tilted his head down as he thought. When Blythe described her homeworld, it reminded him of a jungle.. and that was it! "Aras will take you to the rainforest!" he answered excitedly, very pleased with his conclusion. Surely he still remembered how to get to the rainforest. "Rainforest is very green. Many trees, much water, colorful creatures! Like birds. But Aras can never catch them," he rambled on for a moment, but finally turned his attention to the horizon. He hummed again, clearly thinking. Eventually, he broke out into a grin. "Aras thinks it is this way. But he does not remember how far. Will be fun, yes lady?" His tail swayed rapidly from side to side. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"The rainforest? Is it as self-descriptive as it sounds?" Blaidd quirked a crooked grin. This already sounded like an excellent idea. She headed in the direction Aras mentioned, bounding eagerly to and fro like a small pup; the feeling of the grass beneath her paws really was enjoyable, it was cool and soft, and soon the pads of her paws were slightly stained with chlorophyll, despite her light treading. She'd skidded to a halt and thankfully hadn't face-planted. "This will indeed by incredibly fun, my new friend. Perhaps you can tell me what you know of this world... only if you like, though."
Blaidd felt like a pup again. She hadn't been able to frolic anywhere in a long time, since Cyan fell. The time gap between that and finding her way to Earth was quite large, and the trip was long. Space was a different experience, and though she didn't need air to exist, she didn't like not breathing, that sensation was not perferrable. Her overwhelming joy got the better of her, sometimes, nothing harmed.

Aras | Lone Wolf Aras nodded quickly. "Self-descriptive, yes. A forest with much rain." He followed when Blythe began to move. Noticing her excitement, Aras grinned and took a few leaps before stopping as she did. He glanced back to reply. "Aras has plenty to tell! Is there anything specific the lady would like to know?" He was certainly in a chatty mood, just as she seemed to be. Aras was interested in hearing about her world as well. Turning back to face the direction they had been headed, Aras took a deep breath. A short time ago he had no purpose. Now he had a friend and a destination. Part of him hoped they wouldn't reach the rainforest too soon. The journey itself was what seemed so exciting. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'
