"Hmmm," Blaidd thought about her answer for a moment. The earth had so much to offer, so many new things. But all in good time. She was patient, though eager. "Oh, how about we start with this land. Do you live here? Surely many more inhabitants, smaller, bigger, also live here. What sort of creatures?" Once the questions began, she could barely stop. "Or... or, what do you prefer, in regards to a den. Soft grass and few trees? A forest den, residing in the underbrush?"
As she talked, she also walked, stepping lightly as usual, seeming to glide. The gravity on Earth was much less than on Cyan, and even her fur was lighter, here. It flowed easily in the breeze, fluttering almost feather-like as she moved. Everything about Blaidd's current experience seemed light and beautiful. She thoroughly enjoyed it.

Aras | Lone Wolf Aras hummed to himself as he contemplated her question. Being a lone wolf, he had certainly seen many things he could talk about. "Aras does not live here, he lives no where now. But Aras has been here before. Here are many small creatures, like mice! Lots and lots of mice. Hm.. Aras has seen foxes as well. Much like wolves, but smaller. Very crafty creatures. Many birds here too. And antelope! They are like deer, but ugly."Eventually he stopped talking long enough to think on her other questions. "Aras likes to sleep on soft grass.. or sometimes large flat rocks. Sometimes Aras finds nice cave, but he has not slept in den for some time now." Thinking back, he realized that he had not slept in a den since he'd been with his pack. Not that he particularly minded sleeping out in the open. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

So he is without a home, as well. Possibly-- well... Blaidd made a mental note to ask Aras if he wanted to stick with her once she found a home hopefully in the rain forest; he seemed content enough, but it never hurt to ask. She nodded as she listened, humming in response sometimes and thinking on what he said. Deer? Ugly deer? The vibrant she-wolf had definitely seen deer, or what most likely resembled deer that Aras knows. Antelope were a new concept, and suddenly she wanted to see one. Hopefully they would. "That is interesting, antelope. Are they prey animals, I suppose? You likened them to ugly deer, so I assume so. How charming!" She gazed at the sky, happy to be on the move having an adventure, and glad to have a companion. Maybe Blaidd had already thought all of this before, but it was still true, she was still happy. "I, too, like soft grass. I love how it feels under my paws as I move around, and how it makes the ground so much nicer and more comfortable. I have never slept in a cave, though I have most certainly explored them. Caverns, deep, dark, mysterious places are my favorite," she sighed.

Aras | Lone Wolf Aras nodded and went back to his rambling. "Yes yes, antelope is tasty, but hard to catch it you alone. You look big and strong though. Mice easy to catch, but birds very hard. Aras has never eaten a fox, too similar to wolf. He would feel like a cannibal." Eventually he stopped talking long enough to shake out his pelt when a breeze ruffled his fur. He liked that Blythe had many questions, and he enjoyed hearing her answers as well. "Aras likes exploring dark places too. He once saw cavern with many glittering gems in the walls.. unfortunately he does not remember where it was.. we can find it again someday perhaps," he said, raising his head slightly as he thought. "Rainforest can be dark too. Tall trees block out the light. Aras likes it very much." Dark places just seemed so relaxing to him. Though he didn't always like being alone, dimly lit forests and caves had a certain isolated feeling to them that he enjoyed. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"Glittering gems. That sounds beautiful, yes. I would love to try and find it again with you." Blaidd kept smiling as she watched the grass rustle and a mouse dart by followed by a fox. When they had both passed, she sidetracked and followed quickly, silently; it wasn't long before she caught up, and kept pace right behind the fox until it saw her and scampered away. She frowned slightly, but understood the reaction. "Ah well," she sighed, "I spared a life, and caused hardship for another. Such is the way of curiosity, I suppose. The Balance is not tipped." The large shimmering wolf continued onward in relative silence, thinking on things Aras had said. He was right, that fox did seem very like a small wolf. She had seen some creatures like that on Cyan, though they had larger ears and longer legs. And wings. The thought made her chuckle.
"Have you ever seen wings on a fox?"

Aras | Lone Wolf Aras fell silent for a while, long enough to watch Blythe's brief adventure with the fox and mouse. He followed after her, and in turn heard her comment. "What is the Balance? Something from the lady's homeland?" he asked, pondering the possibilities. Even though he had an idea, he still wished to hear Blythe's explanation. Her point of view seemed quite different from his own. "Wings on a fox? No, Aras has never seen such thing. Wolf with wings yes, but he has seen many more wolves than foxes." Aras began to imagine what a winged fox would look like, though it wasn't hard. He finally came to the conclusion that a creature like that would be annoying. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Blaidd shot Aras a side-glance, expression tentatively eager. The Balance was not too complicated a concept to understand, but then it was also an extremely complicated theory to uphold. She gauged Aras' reaction and smiled at his remark about winged wolves. These creatures she had never seen before, as her partner had never seen foxes with wings, but she figured they were a natural part of the world, and hoped to meet at least one. By now, she had already many hopes for the near and distant future, but the extraterrestrial female did not shy away from them as many do. She was not easily disappointed though her hopes tended to be high.
"Perhaps we shall meet some wolves with wings, then, on our grand adventure through the land," she chimed in. "Maybe they are this world's counterbalance to my world's winged foxes. How interesting a concept... " Blaidd drifted off in thought for a moment before answering Aras' question. "The Balance is a force of the universe, if you will; it is how the stars and the planets keep in order. Energies are recycled, redistributed and reformed, nothing is new to the cosmos, for they have been around for eons. The Balance is a cosmological measure of energies. It evens out nature as we know it over time, keeps food levels from dropping too low and prey levels from rising too high without external forces. As long as the creatures of the world abide by the natural law of the land, The Balance is not disturbed. Magic is an external force, something which can cause great detriment in little time if not used properly-- I apologize. I have forgotten to ask if you understand what I am saying, forgive me."

Aras | Lone Wolf "Interesting.." Aras mumbled quietly while he listened to Blythe's explanation of the Balance. For the most part, he followed. It seemed that the Balance was just her word for the natural order of things, they way the world operated. "Aras understands.. the Balance is the way the strong survive and the weak die, correct? Though sometimes the weak are wise and the strong are foolish, and the opposite happens.""Aras knows no magic," he continued. "He has met no wolves that do. Does the lady know magic?" She must have, of course. Aras knew this from the earlier demonstration of Blythe's homeworld with the dirt. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"Yes," Blaidd smiled, taking in a deep breath and letting it out slowly. The plain smelled so fresh, she half considered staying here to make her home but then again, the sun was a tad too-- sunny. "I do know magic. We on Cyan believe magic is first and foremost a manipulation of energy, so one can understand why it would be such a powerful force against nature.
The destruction of our home-world was a demonstration of such a tip in the Balance brought on by magic." Her tone lacked much emotion normally associated with the remembrance of a demolished home planet. Instead, the off-worlder had taken to being more informative than reminiscent. Blaidd stopped speaking for a moment and walked in silence, chin tilted up in thought. She never really had any aversion to speaking about her original home. In fact, she enjoyed it, she enjoyed recalling stories and adventures, and was able to keep an objective view of the planet's destruction. Sien was better at observations, but Blaidd had her fair share of practice. "I expect the consequence of such an unnatural event will be exposed soon enough, if it hasn't already. I so miss the wandering adventures, but this should be easy to remedy. Look not behind, but forget not the past. The path onward is as never-ending as the possibilities," she intoned cheerily.

Aras | Lone Wolf "To what extent has the lady's home world been destroyed?" Aras asked, wondering what exactly the magic had done to it. "Does it still exist, with no traces or life? Or has it been entirely demolished?" Obviously, by her description no amount of magic would have been able to fix it. A part of him wondered if Blythe had, by any chance, brought such a dangerous world-destroying power to Earth itself. Not that it worried him that much. "What sort of consequences does the lady expect? Is our world in danger?" he asked, of course referring to Earth. With no magical powers, Aras doubted he would be of any use to Blythe in the planet-defending department. Then again, she didn't look as though she had come here to fight some evil entity. She looked as though she had come to explore, and that was good enough for Aras. "Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

Blaidd sighed, but not with impatience. Nor even in sadness. She was trying to recall what she wanted to say, having just inexplicably forgotten the moment Aras began to ask his questions. After a moment of sniffing the grass beneath her, she remembered.
"Whomever attacked made sure nothing existed of the planet after draining the life. Those who fled were saved from the torture of having their very existence slowly taken away, Sien and myself being two examples. Now the land is mere dust in the void. Somewhere, a meteor shower rained down upon the land of another world," she remarked. "Most likely, that was part of our planet.
The consequences could affect any number of things. The worlds closest to Cyan could be breached, the natural order turned to chaos. Or, planets furthest away. An antimatter sphere could form. Possibly, and very improbably... The ones who took all the energy will simply explode from overwhelming amount of life force that does not belong to them." Blaidd shrugged and stopped talking. The air was beginning to smell different. Not bad, very intriguing, and she lifted her nose with a small smile tugging at her lips. "I come merely to continue my journey until I give my body to the earth and my soul to the stars. Do you have any life goals? Dreams, aspirations?"

Aras | Lone Wolf "The lady is dying?" Aras asked, trying to put her words into simpler terms. Those words were the ones he mulled over the most. "Sien? Who is this? A companion? Have you been separated?" If that were the case, Aras would have certainly offered to help them reunite, despite having no earthly idea where the other could have ended up. "Who took the energy? Or does the lady not know?" he asked, trying to imagine all she had said. The way she spoke of the death of her home with no trace of sadness was intriguing to him. Aras himself had experienced tragedies that he could speak of with no amount of remorse, but at the same time it was those tragedies that had ruined him. Blythe looked as though none of it had affected her at all. "Aras supposes he needs a place to belong. Or perhaps someone to belong with, if he is destined to wander for the rest of his life. Aras has only ever longed for two things, and he no longer wishes for those things. He needs a new dream, perhaps.""Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"Mmm, well. Everyone is dying after a certain point in their growth. That is what makes life worth living, the idea you are gradually decaying but every moment alive is another moment to rejoice and enjoy. However, no need to worry. The process of death is much longer than growth," Blaidd smiled. "A good life can be led before an eventual departing." She watched the sky some more as she was wont to do often. It was always such a joy to see. The flow-y, soft-spoken she-wolf had never seen so much of this color before. In space, everything not planetary or matter in general was black. Sometimes, even the planets were black. But just as the name suggested, space was just that. The atmosphere of the planet tended to define the color of the sky. While Blaidd didn't really know this, she understood the general concept of planets being made of different air, and figured that was why the sky was so... this... here on Earth.
All of a sudden, as Blaidd tried to remember the name for the color, she took a step backward and gazed off to the left silently. Her ears were perked and her body still, save for the slight blowing of fur in the breeze as she held her position for a moment longer. Whatever she thought she saw or heard, it was surely gone now, and she resumed. "Sien is my partner, partially my mentor. Very much my friend. We used to roam together a lot, and were separated by the destruction of the planet. I vaguely remember seeing a blur that looked sort of like Sien shooting toward this planet, and I felt the presence of a familiar friend before seeing the form, so I know sometime we must reunite. And when that time comes, I am very positive you would still be welcome-- Oh dear," the she-wolf chuckled, realising her mistake then clearing her throat. "Aras, if you like, you may come live in the jungle with me and I'm sure Sien would love to meet you. Of course, I will most likely be exploring a great deal, so the jungle will simply be like a returning point, recuperation place. Having somewhere to call your own and someone to keep it with is always nice. Solidarity," Blaidd nodded.

Aras | Lone Wolf "Mm.." Aras replied with a hum. For once he couldn't fully agree with Blythe's words, but he wouldn't say that aloud. Aras always felt like his life wasn't really worth living at this point. But he kept going, because life still sounded a lot better than death. This kind of mindset did result in a fair bit of reckless behavior, at least when he was traveling alone. If anything, he'd become more bent on helping others and less on helping himself, like he was doing with Blythe now. Not really because he enjoyed the deed, even though he usually did, but simply because he was aware that others held the potential to lead better lives than he. Might as well help keep it that way. "The lady musn't worry, Aras will help locate Sien," Aras assured her. If the two had come from the same planet, it was a good plan to check the jungle in case Sien was traveling there with the same idea. When Blythe interrupted herself, Aras tilted his head to the side with a look of interest. His eyes seemed to light up with excitement at her suggestion. "Aras would be pleased to stay with such a kind lady," he replied. The exploring part appealed to him as well, since Aras was no longer one to settle down for too long. He'd become too restless for that. And now, having someone to explore with, it seemed as though he wasn't going to be bored again for a long time. "Aras looks forward to many adventures.""Speech." | 'Thoughts.'

"Briliant!" Blaidd exclaimed, her voice melodic and enthusiastic. A broad grin spread across her lips, tugging them up a little so the tips of her upper teeth were showing, then she licked Aras lightly on the nose before she could stop herself. Immediately after, she halted and looked down at her paws briefly. "I apologize, was that inappropriate? Hmm," the large wolf thought to herself for a second. I hope I did not just mess things up... If so, she'd try to make up for it. The off-worlder shifted a little on the spot, watching Aras calmly, though apologetically. The grass cooled her paws and the sun warmed her back, and she was otherwise much enjoying herself out here in the open, despite intense sun.
