(Tags: Cy[un]banned) ( "Speech" "Thought" Normal ) ... Larkspur walked by the extense forest which was her native place. It seemed so different from how she remebered it... The trees seemed to look after her while standing high, the bats spied her, the distant sound of the river gave her shivers, the elusive animals looked at her from the lurking shadows. She used to wander around that place when she was a pup, but the forest was more full of life then. Either way, it didn't matter, though it had made her feel pretty sad. "Sun will rise" She told herself, and shook her head to clear it. She forced her extremities to keep moving until rain dropplets started wetting her fur "Yay, rain", She thought ironically. She had no idea how the rain came to her under the vast and dense diversity of trees, but she didn't care. She just didn't want to get wet, so she went under a tree, and waited for the rain to stop, if it did. "I was wrong" She thought "Soon won't really raise anytime soon"

Goodness, this forest is large. Since the afternoon, Loch had been roaming the world as she always does in the meantime of hunting and sleeping. Having happened upon a large forest earlier in the previous day, she had decided to call it a day and snooze just inside the tree line. Now she was fully awake and deep into the land, the only indication of time of day being what peeked down through the treetops. Nothing felt better to her than the soft dirt beneath her paws and a little wind on her face, blowing through her fur and keeping her cool. She did sometimes augment the wind here and there, and now as no exception. Wind whipped through the trees, rustling them and causing some of the leaves to fall. The underbrush here and there blew around her paws on the ground where she left dark, nearly imperceptible singe prints wherever she stepped. She hadn't noticed the rain starting until she killed the wind to listen to what she thought was a voice, her ears perked and eyes alert. Unfortunately, the voice was in her head, as usual, but she was glad for the moment. Raising her head to he sky and closing her eyes, she let the droplets fall on her face and deep into her fur. Oh how I love natural rain... So peaceful, so refreshing. The large black and blue wolf took a long deep breath, which didn't even falter when the scent of another wolf in the immediate vicinity hit her nose; a serene smile spread across her lips and she slowly exhaled, humming blissfully. "Isn't the rain lovely?"

[OCC= Note: The first sentence is to joke around with your last one xD]
"I hate rain" The pale female slowly growled under the tall, big tree. "It fades scents, it makes my fur wet, and I always end up mud stained!" She kept growling, and raised her tone in the last words. She wasn't much of an optimist, really. But if you made friends with her, she'd be the most loyal thing. "Who am I even talking to?!" Larkspur said, frustrated.
The only thing she really liked about rain -though she'd never admit- was the Pine Scent. It was always everywhere, but rain made it stronger. "Maybe you should learn about it" She thought, with a sigh. "No, not maybe. You should".
Larky had been much time alone, and she was used to it, so she sometimes ended up talking with herself. But it really didn't matter. She'd rather be alone than have a bad company after all, so...
The female turned her head to the left as she made a sudden and violent movement with her ears to be able to hear better. Yes... she was sure she had heard something...

This time when Loch heard a voice, she was fairly certain it was real - mainly because it was muffled by the sound of falling rain, and a bit distant and unintelligible from her current position. She opened her eyes as she listened around and looked to see if she could spot the source. Having no luck, she simply used her nose. Everything was so wet, and chances were, so was whomever it was she heard.
She put her nose to the rain-damp ground and inhaled the sweet, earthy smell, then loped along, keeping her ears perked and her nose in the air until she neared the other wolf enough to be seen; then she stopped. As usual, she really hadn't remembered to sniff for scent markers indicating ownership of a pack land, and now she had just found another wolf. Things could get hairy.
"Hello, there." She kept a friendly but guarded disposition, smiling politely and staying relaxed.

Larkspur could hear steps coming now, and even she was almost sure they were real and not a product of the rain mixed with other sounds, she didn't worry much about it until she had the female in front of her.
"H-hey" She said, nervous, though the female using a smooth and calmed tone of voice relaxed her a lot. "Who are you?" She asked trying to be friendly, still not quite getting it. There was a smile upon her face, which was fairly weird for her, and her tail was down, brushing the ground. "I'm so bad at this" She thought, and she was far beyond wrong. She had always had problems with doing friends thanks to her short-temper and bad-mood, yet this was completely different when you became closer to her: Larky used to treat her friends smoothly, and even make some jokes sometimes. But the female wasn't really nice to strangers or acquaintance.
The female got closer to her to sniff her, but thought the other wolf could feel uncomfortable with it and stopped herself. She could still feel her scent on the air mixed with the rain and with the Pine she loved so much.
The rain fell on her fur and she could feel the droplets of water falling off of it. She could also hear those making a 'tic tac, tic tac' sound as they fell on the grass.

"Name's Loch. Sorry, I was unsure if this was a packland, and the rain has already begun to wash away scents." She glanced around and, seeing no other sign of wolves at the moment, began to wonder if maybe this was just another lone wolf roaming the forest. The rain had begun to trickle down through her fur to her skin, so he stepped back and shook off. Droplets of water flew away from her now fluffy fur and mingled with the rain as it fell all over the ground.
Loch sighed deeply as the rain slowly weighed her fur back down and she examined the other wolf. She seems uneasy, I wonder if it's me... she instinctively looked down to her paws but they weren't smoking as they usually do, the forest floor had gotten just wet enough; instead there was a faint sizzling noise every time she stepped. Well that's a relief I suppose. The tall she-wolf tilted her head, gazing through different colored eyes. Her right eye was bright green, and her left was dark brown, and sometimes it made her pupils look different sizes. "Are you lost? I mean... not that I know where places are either. I'm new to the woods. Just wondering."

"Hey, Loch. My name's Larkspur, but you can call me Larky or whatever you want" She said quietly "But please don't call me like that goddamn flower" She added to herself. She hated to be called like a flower, since she was nothing like one: rain didn't feed her, it stained her.
She looked at the female "Lost? Well... I really don't recognize this place..." She thought. "Well, kind of. I used to come here a lot when I was a pup, and now that I'm back it seems so different..." She decided to be nice to Loch. She would have to spend time with her until the rain stopped, so.
One droplet fell on her nose and made her sneeze "Sorry" She said, not completely sure why.

"Larkspur, hmmm," she tried the name out in her mouth and nodded to herself as she sat down. The one thing Loch did not like about the rain was how the wet ground felt on her bum. Really, she was just sensitive about anything touching back there, but the physical contact between something hard and wet and her rump was skeevy. She was now glad that Larkspur hadn't sniffed her there as typical friendly greetings dictated. Perhaps she wasn't the only one who didn't to many wolf things. However uncomfortable she was, though, she didn't let it show. The only sign she gave that anything may be wrong was a very slight, nearly imperceptible hitch in her breath as her bottom squished into the wet ground.
"Nice name, interesting. So you don't like spurs?" Loch laughed good-naturedly. "Anyway, you said you used to come around a lot? Must've been nice, all the wonder of the tall trees, taking in the trickling sunlight. I remember when I was a pup-- " she faltered then shook her head to dismiss the unfinished statement. "Nah. So it's different? Maybe the trees moved," Loch shrugged. Her statement was partially facetious, and partially serious. She'd seen trees move before. They also died, were chopped down, blown over, etc. And of course, an ecosystem is not complete without it's scampering organisms. Loch drifted into silent thought over how much time changed things.

"Not really!" Larkspur said, laughing.
The rain started falling, now heavily. Well she was having a good time, so it really didn't matter if rain didn't stop for a while, right?
"Hmmm well yes, it was pretty nice. My father Bear and I used to fish around often" She answered "But now I can't recognize anything..." When she heard about moving trees, she couldn't help giving a grin to stop herself from laughing "Do trees move?" She asked, this time serious. "Maybe they really move. You never know" She thought to herself.
She shook her paws to get the water off of them. "Seems like the Sun won't raise any time soon, huh?"

Glancing up, Loch had to agree with Larky. The sun really wasn't anywhere to be seen and that didn't seem to be changing in the near future. Droplets splashed rapidly and followed the pull of gravity along her snout to her eyes as she squinted. "Yeah, seems to be falling down on its duties to light the earth. I guess the clouds won the race, today." She shrugged and rubbed her face with her paw.
"And about the trees moving... Well, hopefully this forest isn't one of those that is so wrought with magical energy that everything moves," Loch shuddered. The only forest she had ever been in that did that was the one by her best friend's old den. She never wanted to go back, the dark magic there had corrupted everything. "Of course I'm sure if they did move here, they wouldn't try to kill us. That's a plausible plus, since we're both still living." The black wolf smiled inwardly to herself about this fact. "In fact, i wouldn't mind watching one move, but that's just me. Maybe later... "
