And I just can't look it's killing me! Aslyan's paws kissed the earth with a fleeting passion, limbs moving swiftly over the rolling hills of the vast open steppe lands. His veins were devoured with a familiar sense of fire as his heart thundered wildly inside his chest. Aslyan was going nowhere in particular, rather he was just traveling on a whim and feeding his ravenous hunger for adventure. It was mid afternoon, the sky was streaked with blood red, tropical orange and pastel pinks; the sun slipping below the horizon. During his travels he found the fresh trial of a doe and decided to pursue it. This hill was steep! Aslyan braced himself pressing on further up, nearly to the top. Blood was the first thing the dire wolf smelt as he reached the top, pink eyes absorbing the murder scene in front of him. A bear stood over three wolf carcasses, angry eyes zeroing in on Aslyan. Uh-oh! How could he have missed this? Surely he would have scented this before now... then again, the bear was up wind.
A low roar reverberated inside the bear, wide mouth open slinging large drops of saliva. It stomps both paws, snorting and then standing on its hind legs. Well, it looked like the wolf had a fight on his hands...

LiathAs soon as the scent of blood hit her nostrils, she was there. Leaping into action, her powerful legs carried her on large, swift paws to the scene. She was on a mission, her control had all but disappeared as she tread lightly and quietly toward the delicious smell, leaving a whole trail of ice in her wake. Nearing the hill, she also smelled bear. The wind was in her favor, even without being manipulated, but it carried a most wretched smell. Canines. Liath smelled canine carnage on the wind, there was going to be Hell to pay.
She pounded up the hill, ice still forming beneath her paws, and dug her claws into the earth to further aid her forward power charge. Once upon the hill, the large grey female took one look at the mangled wolves and immediately began to growl. Her eyes, though light, piercing blue, where full of hot rage. She was seething, her body tensing up as the ice spread dangerously, now forming into a sharp, blade-like edge as it ran along the ground, cutting into protruding roots. The low, rumbling growl coming from the angry grey she-wolf was perfectly matched, and possibly drowned out, by the deep gravelly roar emitted by the bear. Possibly, if Liath was as lucky as she was hot-headed, the bear didn't hear her, as it seemed to be preoccupied by something she could not see in front of the large, standing creature. -

i had absolutely no idea where i was, or how i'd gotten out of the clutches of orladris. but i did, i got my wish, didn't i? i felt amazing. i'd been restored, my crown and throne no longer stripped. however, this wasn't the land of equtera, no. i was far from home, but at least i was in the same vicinity. that's all i could really ask for after that ordeal. but, what was the gods had said? they were watching over every world, just some not as closely? no matter. all is no longer lost. i just hoped that aleera wasn't forever lost, devoid of life. perhaps she'd found her demon after all. the possibilities were endless now.
traveling felt great, after having been sequestered on a raunchy island. now, i am free, just as i was meant to be. each monstrous paw cast forth was sound and intentional, the swagger of my royal aura expanding with each breath i took, as my head was held high. my posture demanded respect, yet offered none in return. brilliant auric lenses observed the area about me, highly unfamiliar with the terrain. but no matter, it didn't take a topography genius to realize that the bear's distant grumble meant i was on touchy ground. a half grin plastered across my lips, as finely chiseled countenance then morphed into a rather wicked expression. colossal mass was maneuvered effortlessly, not a step haphazard or absentminded. as i neared, i realized the reason for the bear's defensive mode was due to a fellow wolf, bracing for battle. i was now faced with an option all on my own- to help, or not to help? a low rumble of a chortle escaped, like distant rolling thunder, as i kept the distance i'd had in order to ask the lad what he'd like, help, or no help. perhaps, this was a personal journey for him. and i'd be so rude to intrude? ah, perhaps.
nevertheless, the two brutes caught me in a wonderful mood - luckily for them. "say the word," baritones boomed toward the wolf. i was oddly concerned with myself. i'd offered such a generous consideration for his feelings, and yet, i knew nothing of the male. i was bewildered, but fully prepared to switch mentality.

There was a sickness in the air. The smell of bile and entrails. The scent of a bloodbath. Something had died, or by the wretched stench, Aleera was willing to wager a number of somethings had died. A violent death to be certain, for the scent of fresh blood did not hold the taint of rotten decay. The smell of it may have frightened or even excited a number of individuals...But for Aleera, for the woman eaten by fire, it was but another day wherein death was a constant. The ebony female did not get riled up by it, but that wasn't to say it did not peek her curiosity. Whatever had died was no prey animal, the scent of the blood wasn't sweet enough for that. No, this was the death of something dangerous. Something not unlike herself. Prodigious paws propelled the onyx beast forward, until her ominous sight topped the crest of a hill and her half blinded eyes could peer from her vantage point upon whatever these lands had deemed fit to occur. A bear lorded over the carcass' of three different wolves, fools for taking on such a creature greater than themselves...Yet it would seem the brute responsible was not out of the danger zone yet.
Though the bear was the first then once Empress noticed, the snarls of other wolves were unmistakable to her ears. With a listlessness not uncommon in perhaps a large reptile, the marred female spotted two males and separate female. All of whom stood apart from one another. It suggested they knew nothing of each other, or hadn't noticed the others at all in their search for what had caused such a plight this evening. Unlike those who stood to confront the beast, Aleera remained back, more than willing to allow them to throw their lives away if they saw fit. Those who had died were no kin to her, and she had much more important things to hunt than a mindless beast. Orange eyes like fire flickered away from the group, muscular frame preparing to turn and go off on her way once more...Yet a power force stopped the dragon in her tracks. The flash of silver fur, eyes of golden honey, the build, the presence...It, was not possible. White Timber?
It had been some months since she had awoken in a field, and found that Orladris had somehow deemed it fit to spit her back into the world she once knew. No longer damned to serve in a holy war. Of course she thought that perhaps others had gotten away too, but never had she thought that he would be here. Aleera had long figured she would never see the Lycan King again...This, was a surprise she was not sure she liked and yet found herself unable to remove herself from the situation. Instead the hellhound with her eyes of burning amber came down the hill without fear or any notable features to suggest she feared the bear who had torn through others already. "White Timber?" Her voice was low, like far of thunder before the storm. The others were inconsequential, for the moment.

And I just can't look it's killing me! Time was moving slowly. Aslyan stood ready but relaxed. He was excited and welcomed the familiar rush of adrenaline that crashed over his body.
Suddenly the bear waved its massive talon filled paws, roaring again; screaming back off. Honestly Aslyan didn't feel like it. Coal black lips drew back in a sharp smile exposing a massive row of pearly white weapons. A deep rumble of his own tore through his chest cavity as a roar, mouth open wide, spitting back at the bear who only seemed more enraged by the action. It dropped to all fours, lumbering forwards. Aslyan was quick on his feet seeming to prance out of the way, clearly fluid in battle. Say the word. He was briefly aware of someone speaking but his attention was drawn elsewhere. There were three other wolves in the area but currently Aslyan was only aware of one. "I'm not stopping you?" He called back, pink gaze never splitting from the grizzly.
Bears had thick tough skin- it would be hard to really puncture anything even with his long canines. Aslyan slowly circled the beast, tail waving back and forth like a snake. With movement came the awareness of the ther two. The bear charged at the icy she-wolf weaving away from the icy thorns. Crap. Aslyan rushed forward leaping, throwing his weight into the bears side staggering it and faltering the charge. Long, fangs tore just under the bears jaw against the neck. It wailed and stood, swinging it's large paws tossing Aslyan aside. He shook it off, standing up again to face the bear. "You swing like a squirrel!" He taunted, splaying his stance, risking a glance to the elemental fea. "Secure its paws!" He barked towards her. Aslyan glanced at the duo off to the side. He wondered what they might do.. If anything; the other female looked disinterested.
Aslyan was rather enjoying himself, looking to complete this task without using his fury.

LiathAs much as Liath abhorred being told what to do, she didn't argue. Deep in her mind, somewhere barely accessible in her current state of fury, the she-wolf knew it was a logical request. They were in a battle, and the commanding wolf clearly knew what he was doing or he would definitely be less alive by now. She may not know how to single-pawedly take out a bear, but she definitely knew how to scrap until it was tired of her.
Steeling herself and rocking on her haunches, she launched at the bear; with her, a long, thick, sharp shard of ice flew at the bear's chest, sure to hit something, if not the chest itself. It came at a speed of 80 miles per hour, soaring through the air and whirring by her ear. She had to make sure nothing she did caused issue for the other wolves - of which she now knew there were at least two - so she iced over the ground beneath the bear only where it's paws were, in hopes it slipped. Not really a fair fight, but she didn't care. This wasn't a spar. This was revenge. She was going to... probably not single-pawedly, but with help, destroy this bear. She ended up smashing into the bear's left shoulder, the shard hit it square in the jaw. What? Liath didn't really have time to wonder how the shard had eventually aimed so high, but she was glad it did. Most likely, the bear was disoriented and now knocked off balance by the force of the she-wolf herself colliding with it and expertly rebounding to the side, rolling onto her paws and facing the beast. This was sort of fun, if only because she hadn't been able to flex her muscles like this for a while now.
She lunged again, now with the upper hand, and latched herself onto the bear's left paw, tightening her grip as she continued to sail through the air, pulling the furry limb with her. Her long, sharp teeth dug into the flesh and fur, only just penetrating it but not drawing blood yet. Well, there's one paw down. And two others if the bear continues it's backward trajectory and falls on the ground. OOC Note: Yep, I left off the post with Liath flying through the air.

Royal flames will carve a path in chaos, Bringing daylight to the night Death is riding into town with armor They've come to take all your rights hail to the king he called back as if unsure of what to answer in my oh so generous offer. but it wasn't the onslaught upon the beast that caught my attention, but rather, the breathy exertion of my name. a single ear swiveled 'round, as my breath caught within my lungs. it was familiar. the stench- burning wood. it was her. she was here. and alive. surely no more maimed than she already was prior to, so i was certain that when i did finally turn to see her, the sight of the empress of fire would not startle me. without much further hesitation, muscle bound limbs crisscrossed beneath prodigious mass as i pivoted with undeniable grace, uncompromised prowess. "aleera. i am glad to see you survived."
steely lips did not pull into a grin, rather, the previous half grin had dissipated into a taut frown. the edges of my lips playing downward ever slightly. though, it was not out of anger or rage did my countenance shift ever so, in fact, it was out of pure surprise. "how are you fairing?" i followed up, entirely ignoring the little spat going on behind me with the bear and the two wolves. the sound of something peculiar - ice? - caused for a my ears to instinctively swivel in reverse, but my attention could not be stolen away at the moment. even if she'd have nothing to do with me. maybe she would? now that we weren't in that wretched place, with every move we made having to revolve around the gods. perhaps, she wasn't so determined? of course, that may be a foolish thought all on it's own. as now that she was spat out, her demon's location lost. she may be more driven than ever. it was a sad thought, however, i was not sure what type of aid i'd lend the empress of fire this time around, if any at all. @tagtagtag

Aleera moved round the raging bear as it took off after one of the unknown wolves currently occupying the area. They seemed more intent to kill it than either she nor White Timber, despite their presence here currently. A first reunion since ages past between a dragon and a monster who shared a history, that was more interesting them that snuffing the live from a beast clearly out of it’s head. With a mighty turn she had grown used to seeing upon that silver frame, the golden eyed King looked upon her and was genuinely surprised to see her as much as she was to see him. Neither had really said much about their pasts while in Orladris and she had always assumed he was from another world than her own…Perhaps them being together here now was a mistake made by the Gods, or, maybe good fortune. A deep rolling noise roiled up from the depths of Aleera’s chest in response to White Timber, ignoring for the moment to ruckus going on behind them.
Before the ebony woman could begin to speak, the silver brute beat her to it, asking how she was fairing…presumably since leaving the confines of Orladris. A noise like ice breaking under to much weight fluttered into her ears, forcing her to turn apricot gaze from the other to see the fight still on going between one of the males and a gray female who summoned ice powers to her defense. Half blinded eyes narrowed, not yet giving White Timber an answer as she observed the on goings for a moment. As the other two continued to fight the bear Aleera took a step or two away from White Timber, watching as the fight went back and forth. What the female did should have been possible…not in her world, yet it was possible Aleera wasn’t in her world anymore than she had been when she was in Orladris. She could not begin to fathom why the Gods sent her back or to the wrong place, but it presented the marred female with a very real opportunity. A sinister growl found it’s way through her, remainder of black lips pulling back to reveal tainted ivories.
A moment later and black smoke rolled out from between bore teeth, flashes of white hot sparks as Aleera reached into herself and found the basis of her powers she had thought gone with Orladris’ walls. ”Better now.” Her voice, low and harsh like the smell of heavy smoke came forward to address White Timbers question just before she reared her head back and a faint glow could be seen from the center of her chest. A moment later Aleera’s head came down, powerful jaws opening wide as a ball of what appeared like liquid fire hit the bear upon the back, clinging like a fiery glue and searing away fur and flesh. With little in the ways of removing the burning bile, it would be but a matter of time before the creature was consumed be Aleera’s rediscovered flame.

And I just can't look it's killing me! It sounded like breaking glass when the ice shard connected with the Kodiak Grizzly's jaw. The large brown bear staggered, groaning and shaking his head; disoriented and dizzy from the impact. A good shot. However the ice bending canine charged latching onto the bears paw... Aslyan's brows drew inward in confusion. That was not the smartest move she could have made, even with a dazed bear. Aslyan grunted under his breath, crazy woman! He wasted no time in bouncing back, clamping his iron jaws around the right paw his long saber like k9's sunk into the flesh like knives through a stick of butter. The bears marrows grinded against his teeth in an uncomfortable manner.
This probably would have been much easier without others meddling around; and two certain someone's standing around like a bunch of useless broken down cars.
Unfortunately the bear was starting to come to, lunging down to snap at Aslyan's back; he released his grip on the bears paw jumping out of the way. The bears teeth made a loud snap, mashing his teeth as he bit the air. A white hot ball came sizzling through the air; crashing dead center into the bears back. Its back arched, hear tossing upwards a horrendous cry spouting from his core. With a heave the giant grizzly collapsed as the angry flames engulfed its shaggy brown coat.
Aslyan stood at the bears head, it was still alive watching him watching; silently begging as soft moans and sizzling crackles filled the air. The grizzly was bruning alive, this was agony. Aslyan couldn't allow this, it was wrong. Even this beast didn't deserve this death.... In a fluid quick movement the blackblood gripped the bears throat in a mouthful, and with a strong shake of his neck it tore open like velcro opening a flood. Now the bear was dead.
Who had lit that fire? Those pink eyes shifted between the wolves- knowing his answer rested with the fiery smelling female as soon as he saw her. Then they traced back over the others, a bored look masking his features. "You ruined the pelt." Aslyan grunted narrowing his eyes at the fiery female.

LiathSHITSHITSHITSHIT Liath was going down, but she wasn't yelling Timber. She wasn't yelling anything, her teeth were still digging themselves into the bear's paw. Instinctively, she bit down as hard as she could, tasting blood and feeling bone grate against her incisors. The feeling was empowering, until it was gone. The bear's other paw had fortunately been maimed by her fellow combatant, but someone else had hit the beast in the back with what was unmistakably a fireball. This did not bode well, and she let go, pushing off the bear's stomach and completely disappearing in mid-air, wind swirling around as she did, and dissipating as soon as she was gone.
With another whirlwind, the she-wolf reappeared, still leaping through the air but now in the opposite direction and more prepared to land on her paws. She was just in time to see the poor bear fall forward and start dying in what had to be the most agony it had felt since being born. A twinge of pity hit her chest, and she frowned after licking her nose and the blood off her lips. Watching male wolf rip the bear's throat out was possibly not as satisfying as she thought it would be, and watching the bear burn was disconcerting, so she took it upon herself to pounce on top of the flames and put the fire out, icing over the whole creature after stomping about.
"He's right," she remarked dryly. "That was a lazy, unsportsmanlike thing to do, even if it did provide aid. Which, I do thank you for... But the point still stands." Her low, silky voice had an edge to it, but solid, piercing light blue eyes regarded at the two other beings expressionlessly. -

Royal flames will carve a path in chaos, Bringing daylight to the night Death is riding into town with armor They've come to take all your rights hail to the king it took everything in me not to scoff, however, i failed. as soon as the pair approached us, whining at aleera for ultimately taking it down for them, a scoff filled the air as they bellyached about the fact that the bear's pelt was ruined. did they mean to wear it? pretend to the beast? were they that bored with their lives? no matter why they wanted it fully intact, i still wouldn't allow that type of disrespect to be spoken toward aleera, especially in my presence. "you two would do well to quit your whining. you sound like pups. you should be thanking her for saving your sorry hides."and now, expression which previously scoffed morphed into a displeased sneer, eyeing from the male to the distaff of ice. pathetic little pups, of course they'd be irritated by the fact they couldn't take down a beast such as a bear with a fatal attack just like aleera. of course, i was certain aleera's expression would give way to none, so much so that her indifference toward their opinions was overbearing. i knew all too well. @tagtagtag

The super heated bile had coated nearly all of the bears back, lighting it’s fur on fire like dry tender and before to long it slumped to the ground in a agony, it’s pitiful cries echoing across the plains. It was not a fast death, and one of the wolves, the other male saw fit to end it’s suffering despite what it had done to the three others who lay dead around them. Sympathy, an act of mercy? It suggested the wolf was uncommonly kind or those who lay dead were of no relation to him. With it dead, the male turned to her with no gratitude in his eyes for what she’d done to help and instead, remarked that she had ruined it’s fur. What an odd thing to say. Before the dragon could even begin to answer, a second voice of disapproval came fluttering out of the sky like a delicate butterfly to denounce her actions. She was called lazy and unsportsmanlike, but the insults drew no reaction out of the woman. Their opinions meant very little to her.
To her defense came White Timber, though the King of the Mountain was more than aware she was capable of defending herself both verbally and physically…It was just her amount of indifference to others that seemed to frustrate him so that he seemed to have an innate need to speak for her when she would choose silence. Eyes like liquid fire, half blinded flickered between each individual. Black smoke rose from between her exposed teeth and nostrils before words formed upon her lips. ”I do not see any sport in baiting a mindless beast into battle. Call what I did what you will, but I gave it faster end than you two would have.” They spoke to her as if she had no reason. She saw what was happening and knew no point in chasing her tail like some frantic pup all for some game. Cultural reasons could indicate why these two had attacked the bear, or maybe it was a fit of revenge for those killed. It mattered in no way to her. Apricot gaze flickered to the three dead, her stare far off even as she spoke again. ”Did you know them?”

And I just can't look it's killing me!
The grey ice female padded up beside him to speak on what he hoped would be her own behalf. However his thoughts were changed once she spoke up. He was right about what? Mink gaze met the grey lass who dare place words in his mouth. Aslyan had his own voice, he could speak for himself. The dark males voice drew the blackblood's attention, although he seemed just as uninterested and unconcerned as before. "I can handle bears on my own. And must I point out I was not addressing you." The cream beast tilted his head slowly. "No. I gave it a quick death- you would have burned it alive. Either way, its perfectly good bedding ruined." Aslyan sighed, it was water under the bridge now; there would always be more bears.
The black blood could have forgotten about the dead wolves. "Nah. I just stumbled upon them." He shrugged. "Fools didn't see him coming by the looks of it."

LiathShe felt his eyes wander to her, and she returned the glance. Judging by the male's face, he probably thought she was placing words in his mouth. This was what she got for not articulating her thoughts. She seriously considered trying to telepathically clarify, but knew that was an intrusion of the most basic privacy any creature had. The mind was a sacred thing to keep. Instead, she let the wolf just assume incorrectly. Liath doubted they'd ever cross paths again, anyway, but if they did, she wouldn't be opposed to speaking civilly with him, out of the heat of battle. He seemed decent.
The brutish wolf, on the other hand... Well. Liath pulled her ears back and growled in annoyance at his pretentiousness, but did not so much as set eyes on him after flicking her gaze to the more neutral female. She was more level-headed, and she did make a bit of sense. The bear had gone down due to the dark, gnarled wolf's one flaming attack. And she HAD thanked the other she-wolf. "I wouldn't say bears are mindless, they have the potential to be just as intelligent as any wolf, and the opposite can be said about wolves and their own intelligence, or lack thereof," she stated rather indifferently. It wasn't meant to be a contest of the other's remark. Until something more prevalent came up, this was the most Liath was going to say. She was not an argumentative wolf, and she saw no reason to begin now. Perhaps I should just leave. The ice burst into snow and landed in basically the same position all over the bear, with exception of the small amount which fluttered down upon herself and anything immediately around the bear. -

Royal flames will carve a path in chaos, Bringing daylight to the night Death is riding into town with armor They've come to take all your rights hail to the king oh for the love of - i couldn't help but roll my eyes now. these silly children. they knew not to whom they speak. but i was in my own world now, now it was time aleera was recognized for her throne, and i for mine. whether or not the two even cared, or haven't heard of us, i did not care. i have faced gods. these petty wenches were nothing. "insolent fools, you know not of who stands before you. you speak straight from your asses. i don't care if you were talking to me, or aleera, or that weird freak there, but if disrespect is to be given in any direction here, it will be the king who executes it. not a worthless pup like yourself."
as i spoke, my eyes shifted from aleera as i addressed her, to the grey ice wolf, back to the male who thought himself so high and mighty - although, has he earned anything? i would assume not. and so, i was utterly annoyed, rage igniting without hopes of dousing. and to true aleera form, she was rather neutral on the subject. her indifference something i sometimes wished i could maintain, however, i simply could not. my features contorted, twisting into a sinister, disgusted expression. a taut sneer plastered across steely lips, partially disclosing noxious bridgework. @tagtagtag
