Drazonic nodded "Yes we're finally here" He said, padding down, and finally getting to a point of the place where the rock structure became one with the ground of the new territory. The temperature was a little higher in this part, or that was what Draz thought. Maybe it was just because he had been living in low temperatures a lot of time.
The pine needles covered the ground, which at first made Draz's paw pads itch a little. “It had been so long since I had last stepped on this floor” He thought, which produced a smile on his face. They were finally there.
Some odors almost resembled his own. That were the kind of things that almost shouted 'Born on the forest!'

Mission | Lone Wolf Mission took a deep breath of the new forest air. She hadn't realized how much she'd missed it. This part of the forest looked a lot like her old home, though it was far from here. Still, the mass of trees reminded her of how easy it was to hide herself in places like this, since her pelt was the same color as the bark. They teased her so much about that, though all in a playful manner.
"This is a climate I can agree with," Mission said, realizing she'd been silent. She walked slightly behind Draz and to his left, as she had for the majority of the journey down the mountain. But now that they had reached their intended destination, what were they going to do next?

Drazonic glanced at her and nodded in agreement "It's much nicer" He said, with a smile "And the sight is beautiful too" Draz added. The pine needles tangled in his tail fur as it brushed the floor while walking. He wasn't annoyed by the thought of nothing to do, which was something new on him.
"So... You were born here, right?" Draz asked curiously as he sat under one of the several trees that towered the skies. Maybe it was time for a chat. Time to know more things about Mission, and for Mission to know about Drazonic.
"Do you remember... You know your family?" He asked, risking the possibility of her relatives to be dead and for her to get upset.

Mission | Lone Wolf Mission nodded agreement, and caused a glance at Draz when he asked his question. She looking away again while she considered how to answer. "I wasn't born here, but I've lived in the forest for most of my life." Her birth pack made its home in the plains. At least, that's where they were when she last saw them.
"I don't really remember my parents. I was young when I left my birth pack with my brothers. My brothers, though, I remember very well. We used to be part of the same pack, in the forest. But I haven't seen either of them in some time," Mission explained, wondering if she had said too much. After being so quiet, she felt like a chatterbox.
"What about you?" Mission asked. "Do you have any family?"

Drazonic puzzled "Well... I do. But to be honest, I'd rather not remember some of them. You know, I was the son of one really low rank female, and a Beta male. My siblings, my mother and I were forced to leave. It wasn't a good pack after all. I lived with the rest of my family a lot of time, and after a lot of years, I got the notice that my father was the Alpha of the Pack now, and Mom insisted to go looking for their Pack, because maybe, only just maybe, he would remember us and take her as Alpha Female" He took a very short brake to breath. He didnt want Mission to be sorry for him, he really didn't want to. Drazonic himself wasn't sorry.
"My siblings and my mother went looking for him, but I refused to go. This happened about one year ago. I was two years old then. I don't doubt my father took her as mate, but he didn't argue when we left" The male said, almost panting. He had spoken a lot.

Mission | Lone Wolf "That's.. quite a story," Mission replied after Drazonic had finished his tale. She couldn't help but feel sorry for him, having been denied membership of a pack. She knew that living with only his siblings and mother must have been plenty dangerous. "Why didn't you go with your mother and siblings? Were you angry at your father?"
Mission, on the other hand, remembered next to nothing about her parents like she said. Most adolescent wolves left their birth packs around two years old, but Mission left at one and a half with her brothers. Even with two males to guard her, being off on their own at such a young age was risky. Draz must have been even younger than she in his story, so she understood the hardship. "Do you think you'll ever go back and see them? Do you wonder if they're alright?"

Drazonic shrugged. "Well... Yes... He didn't even say he was sorry about it. I mean... I understand he had Life to live in his Pack and that his rank was too high to throw it all away. But he was supposed to love us" He said. He had denied the possibility of him taking it personally with his father, but deep inside he knew he had. And he hated his Pack now.
The male leaned his head a little bit to hear Mission's question, but didn't really answer ipso facto. A lot of Memories and insecure thoughts about his family started flooding his mind.
"Hmm... Yes I am worried about them... The thing is... I hardly ever manage to remember how they looked like. I do remember their scents but... My mother's surely got another litter by now"

Mission | Lone Wolf "She may have had another litter, but she's still your mother," Mission replied. To be honest, she didn't know how strong of a connection Drazonic had with his mother. Certainly she didn't want to pressure him into returning to his pack if he didn't want to. And to be honest... if he did decide to go back, she was a bit worried he'd leave her behind. Not that she knew him very well, but ever since she'd left her pack, no wolf had stayed with her as long as he was. Was that being selfish?
"Well.. maybe you could go back and see them someday," she finally said. Mission noticed he was having a bit of a harder time talking about it now, so she didn't ask any more questions on the subject.

Drazonic nod slowly "Yeah, you're right about that. But I would only go visiting them if you come with me" Then he grinned and looked at her boldly "I might look really brave but I shake when it comes to family stuff" Of course he was joking, but a little shiver came down his spine. What if they were not alive, what if they had not been able to make it? His mother had been humble throughout the years, and how could she be an Alpha now?
The male's mind was suddenly flooded with sweet yet distant Memories of the warmth of the Black and White pelts of his siblings that didn't resemble his own. He had been the only gray one, the one that looked like his father the most. He was a big sized Wolf, and his fur was long and soft, but his siblings were kind of thin, and they had black or white, short, rough pelts. One could only tell they were related because of their similar odors and a similar shape of skull.
Drazonic shook his head, back to reality. "But please just stay by my side... I don't want to be alone"

Mission | Lone Wolf Mission was taken aback by Draz's statement. At first, she didn't know how to respond and instead looked away. Not because she didn't like what he said, but because she was embarrassed. No one had said anything like that to her since she left with her brothers. And they left her too, eventually.
"Oh.. of course," Mission finally replied, turning back to him but not quite meeting his gaze. She had to admit, having someone that interested in sticking with her was rather refreshing. Maybe she wouldn't have to be alone anymore.

Drazonic felt suddenlty embarrassed. "Sorry... It's just... You're a rather good company..." He said, being fairly honest. But those were not all the reasons for him not wanting to leave Mission's side.
The male had been alone throughout the last year, roaming the snowy and harsh Mountains, catching prey and faking happiness. Because he really had thought he was happy, but now he knew he was far Beyond happy then. At least compared to the kind of happiness he was feeling now.
But Drazonic also recognized another feeling, but this one was more rough, more selfish. What if Mission walked away one day? "No! She won't. You trust her. You know she’s a nice female. Besides you could always follow her" He thought trying to comfort himself.

Mission | Lone Wolf Mission couldn't help but smile sweetly at Draz's nervousness. But she could tell he was being honest, which flattered her. It felt nice to have someone express an interest in staying with her for genuine reasons. And to think, less than a full day ago she considered running from him at first sight. Thank goodness her curiosity won over her survival instincts that time, though she wouldn't have gotten far on such an empty stomach if she'd chosen to run anyway.
"Thanks.. you are too," she replied, feeling somewhat awkward about it. She did mean it, though. Drazonic seemed nice enough, and that was really what she needed. Someone nice, someone she could trust. Someone who'd stay with her. She glanced back at Draz as if to confirm this, and noticed him deep in thought.

"Thank you... I'm glad to know you enjoy it" Drazonic said shyly and slowly. He had never really been so shy with another female before. It was true he had only known a few females other than Mission, but that didn't matter.
"Why am I even thinking about this?" The male wondered in silence, but couldn't really take Mission's sweet smile out of his mind. It was weird; he felt like if they had met when they were just pups, and they had met the day before.
Drazonic's gray and black fur blowed with the strong wind as a thunder crossed the sky. "Looks like it's gonna rain. Do you like rain?" He asked the female, as to brake the awkward silence.

Mission | Lone Wolf Mission nodded in response, still smiling. Before long, she glanced away. She didn't want to be caught staring for too long, or else she was in for another world of embarrassment. She got the sense that Drazonic was feeling the same way.
She'd just begun to notice the silence between them when Draz spoke again, prompting her to gaze up at the sky for a moment. Yes, it was going to rain. "I like it well enough, so long as I'm not stuck in it," she replied. She did actually enjoy the rain, though she didn't enjoy having a wet coat. Rain and thunderstorms also put her in a sort of melancholic mood, if only because of the memories it brought back.
With all that said, it was probably a good idea to find some sort of shelter before it started to pour.

"Let's better find a shelter before we're stuck then" Drazonic said, giving Mission a soft smile. And for the first time in years his eyes shone green and vivid. The rain had wet his fur and it looked darker, longer, heavier, but his eyes were the same wild green, sparkling with a happiness that was as fresh as the Mornings.
"I think I've seen a den around before. It was small, but it could save us in a hurry" The male said, stretching up and shaking the rain off of his paws before standing up entirely. His long, sharp claws looked shiny and very black because of the rain, and his paw pads were cold and wet once again.
