This is a very short story about Drazonic and the fight with a lynx

Drazonic walked by the snowy mountains. The rock structures the place provided were firmly attached to the ground, so he could step in them, what didn't really mean he wouldn't slip one or two times because of the snow or moss on the gray, cold stone. The few but not non-existant pines made him feel at home as they towered tall.
The male was starving, but that wasn't a new feeling for him, even if he wasn't skin to bone. His body was mostly muscular and well-built, with potent and strong legs and large fangs. The problem was the lack of prey on this Territory.
Why did Drazonic reside in the Mountains then? Well, it was mostly a hideout. He had been born from a low-rankered female and a Beta male, and that was not allowed in his pack. And so, his mother and his two siblings had been forced to leave by the higest-ranked wolf of them all, The Alpha Male. Since then, his family (or what was left of it) called the Forest home, and now that they had left to join their previous pack after his father took the Alpha Male rank, Drazonic didn't want to be in a place which reminded him of them.
Besides, he was very angry with his father. He had said nothing, not even 'I'm sorry' -or the kind of charming words any normal wolf would say- when they left.
He couldn't have beared looking at his father's eyes and smile. And it was the best for him not to join if he was going to make his relatives fight.
So now, the gray and black pigmented wolf was scanning the hunting area with very green and determined eyes, alert senses and ears pinned forward. How did life exsist in that inhospit place? He didn't know. But he was going to grip into his life as long as he could, and a goddamn deer wouldn't change that at all.
Minutes passed, and it seemed like hours to Drazonic. "Tic, toc, tic, toc. Counting the minutes to my death" He thought. He was really frustrated. He finally abandoned his crouching posture and proceeded to walk around the area, occasionally pinning his head to the sky or to the snow to smell either the ground or the air.
After quite a long time, Drazonic stopped. He could smell two odors. The odor of lynx and the odor of recently hunted prey, and he didn't think it twice. He hurried closer to the scent, slowing his pace as he was just a few meters from the animal and its catch.
The male was now more careful, and crouched downwind so the big cat couldn't smell him with ease. His steps were light and slow, but the lynx had a better sense of hearing, and a big roar emanated from its throat.
The animal looked like a male, judging by its size. But that was not what the wolf found scary in it.
"It is missing an eye. That must mean he was in several fights, and that he is experienced..." He thought, and he was right. The lynx had been in many fights before, even with human hunters, and he had won them all. It had a fierce look, but Drazonic couldn't waste the opportunity of feeding, so he growled to make the other animal understand he did have bad intentions.
The lynx just pounced into him, biting him in the shoulder blade and gripping hard. Drazonic shook his body furiously, but he couldn't do it for too long since the lynx was also gripping with his claws and it hurt when he tried to get him off. Finally, he decided to roll into his back. The angry animal made a little 'huff...' sound as all the weight of the big wolf pulled him to the ground.
After that, Drazonic ran to a reasonable distance so he couldn't be attacked so easily, but the lynx was after him, and when the wolf turned, the furious big cat gave him a blow with one paw, tearing the flesh of his nose bridge. The pain was intense, and blinded him for a second, allowing the lynx to pin him down to the ground.
But pinned to the ground or not, Drazonic was stronger and stood up, sending the lynx in a short flight, and it took advantage of that to run away. The big cat had had enough, and the wolf had won.
